Overview of Staff and Training
Our Wellness Director is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with extensive experience in Assisted Living. Our Care Staff are all certified according to State Caregiving Certification requirements. We offer in-house memory care training to ensure top-quality care. Additionally, we conduct regular trainings to keep our staff current on policies, procedures, and best practices.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We have established comprehensive safety protocols that cover emergency preparedness, infection control, and fall prevention. These protocols are regularly reviewed and updated to align with the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Each resident at Woodland Palms receives a personalized care plan tailored to their specific needs and preferences, ensuring that their care is individualized and comprehensive.
We have systems in place to monitor our residents' health and well-being closely. This includes regular health assessments, medication management, and access to healthcare professionals as needed.
Our facility is designed with safety in mind, including accessible layouts, handrails, and other features that promote mobility and independence while minimizing risks.
We foster a supportive and engaging community environment where residents feel connected and cared for, promoting overall well-being.
Support Services for Transition
We ensure we have a caregiver to help the residents and their families during move-in. They are available to answer any questions and show the residents around the community. All of our residents are on a 24-hour watch, which will help them adjust to their new community. Our Life Enrichment Director helps introduce other residents.
Transportation Services
While we do not provide transportation services, we do assist with scheduling transportation.
Dining Experience
We prioritize serving balanced and delicious meals tailored to meet our residents' nutritional needs. We have created a dementia-friendly dining environment, with clear signage, familiar table settings, and calm surroundings to minimize confusion and promote independence during meals.
Our trained staff members provide personalized assistance during mealtimes, offering dignified support based on each resident’s unique preferences and needs. Mealtimes are viewed as social opportunities where residents can engage with peers and enjoy companionship. We encourage social interaction and create a welcoming atmosphere to enhance the dining experience.
Complaint Resolution Process
Our residents and family members are encouraged to voice concerns to our Wellness Director and Administrator. They will ensure that these complaints are addressed and resolved.
Communication with Families
We keep frequent communication with our resident's power of attorney. Under HIPAA, we are only allowed to communicate health information to those who are listed in a Power of Attorney. Communication includes making calls with urgent updates or concerns. We mail out regular Care Plan updates for the family's review.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer respite stays. The minimum stay is two weeks, and the rate is $250 a day.
Pet Policy
We allow pets to visit; however, we do not allow them to live in our community.
Availability
We currently have availability for both private and shared rooms.
Vaccination Availability
We offer flu vaccination via a Flu clinic every year.
Aging in Place
Yes, as long as their needs do not exceed our scope of practice. This can include needing new placement if they need Skilled Nursing or for behavioral concerns. Hospice can be provided in our community through whatever agency the family picks.
Memory Care and Daily Assistance
We specialize in memory care and assist with daily activities such as getting dressed, bathing, brushing teeth/hair, and medication management.
Laundry and Household Services
Laundry services are done twice a week and coincide with the shower schedule. Our care staff ensures that beds are made, and trash is taken out daily. Our housekeeping services are once per week and then as needed throughout the week.

Our beautiful courtyard is in the middle of our secure community that our residents can access anytime.
