Our Team

At Woodland Hills, we have a diverse team of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care and support. Our staff includes Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Medication Technicians (Med Techs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Nurse Practitioners, a Medical Doctor, a Dietitian, and Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapists. Each member of our team plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our residents. Our CNAs assist with daily living activities, Med Techs handle medication administration, and our nurses manage more complex health needs. Nurse Practitioners and the Medical Doctor offer advanced medical care, while our Dietitian focuses on nutritional needs. Additionally, our therapists provide rehabilitative services to support residents’ functional abilities.

Safety Measures

To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, we have implemented several key measures. We provide emergency call pendants for residents to use in case of emergencies, and all our staff are trained in CPR and first aid. We conduct regular health assessments and quarterly audits to ensure compliance with Department of Social Services (DSS) standards, maintaining high levels of care and safety.

Transition Support

When it comes to transitioning into our community, we offer comprehensive support. We have orientation programs designed to help new residents get acclimated and provide personalized assistance to make the transition as smooth as possible. This includes introducing them to staff, helping them engage with community activities, and offering counseling services if needed.

Transportation Services

For transportation needs, we offer services to help residents get to medical appointments, shopping trips, and social outings. Specific details about our transportation services can be discussed upon inquiry.

Complaint Resolution

If a resident has a complaint or an issue, we have a formal process for addressing these concerns. Residents can file complaints through written submissions or direct conversations with management. We take all complaints seriously and ensure they are investigated promptly, with follow-up actions to resolve any issues.

Living Costs

Regarding the cost of living in our community, it varies depending on the type of accommodation and the level of care required. In my last email I had attached a rate sheet that should cover pricing.

Family Communication

Our policy on communication with families is as follows: for independent living residents, we update families only if requested. For those in assisted living, we provide updates on significant changes in health, including any mishaps, illnesses, or adjustments in medication.

Pet Accommodation

We also accommodate pets in our community, through our unique program Leash On Life. This program allows a pet friendly community, and for an additional monthly cost we can even take the pet on walks, restroom breaks, and feed. This can be done by staff up to three times a day!

Room Availability

Currently, there is a small waitlist on some room styles. As of recent we have low availability due to high demand for larger apartments. But, now is a better time than ever as we have a few larger rooms that will finish renovations very soon!

Vaccinations

Lastly, we do offer Covid and flu vaccinations within our community, either through on-site clinics or partnerships with healthcare providers. This helps ensure that residents have easy access to essential vaccinations.
