For residents at risk of wandering, a pendant system is used to trigger silent alarms and lock exit doors automatically.

Residents have multiple avenues to voice complaints, including contacting their ombudsman, the compliance office, the director of nursing, or the nursing home administrator. The community's handbook outlines the rights of residents and the procedures for addressing grievances.

Family Communication

Communication with resident families is maintained through email distribution, monthly family council meetings, and a suggestion and concern box located at the front desk. The community's small size fosters open communication and familiarity between staff and families.

Transportation Services

Transportation is available for program outings, such as plays, scenic rides, movies, and shopping trips, using the community's wheelchair-accessible bus. However, transportation for doctor's appointments is not provided and is typically arranged by family members.

Healthcare and Staff

The community has an integrated healthcare team, including nurses (LPNs, RNs), certified medical assistants (CMAs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and onsite rehabilitation services (OT, PT, speech therapy). Staff undergo a comprehensive onboarding process, including orientation and training with experienced team members.
