Overview of Staff Professionals and Training
Our nurses and direct caregivers are all licensed by the state and have passed state requirements appropriate to their respective licenses. We require in-service training as appropriate for their license and as required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Measures for Ensuring Resident Safety and Well-being
Every resident has a personal care plan created by one of our nurses. The care staff is responsible for following the tasks in the plan and recording the completion of the tasks. These plans are reviewed by a nurse, and the residents are reassessed after the first 30 days and then every 6 months to ensure they are receiving the appropriate care.
Resources and Support Services for Community Transition
We educate our entire team through a tool we call "Getting to Know Me." Our assisted living is only 39 apartments and because it is so small, we are able to offer a very personalized onboarding experience.
Transportation Services
We have weekly local trips and, with advanced notice, are able to do transportation to local doctor appointments. Concierge transportation requires at least two days notice and is only available if there are no other conflicts.
Dining Experience
It is restaurant-style and I have attached a sample of our selections.
Complaint and Issue Resolution
We have monthly resident council meetings. Our offices are very accessible to residents and their families. If the issue has not been resolved, residents and their families are encouraged to call the local assisted living ombudsman.
Communication with Resident's Families
Communication is important within the realm of HIPAA laws. Most of the time, with the permission of the resident, family members are directly involved in the care meetings.
Short-Term or Respite Stays
It is always based on availability. We require a 30-day minimum and for a studio, it is usually $5,500.00.
Pet Policy
Pets are allowed to visit. If a pet is living here, there are certain other requirements, and the resident must be able to provide the care for the pet.
Vaccinations
We offer COVID vaccination and flu vaccinations clinics at various times during the year.
Aging in Place
We currently do not have a waiting list for our assisted living community. We do have a very short waiting list for our memory care.
