Overview of Professional Staff and Training
Our facility is staffed with a diverse range of professionals including RN/LVN, CNA, CMA, SW, ST, OT, and PT. Each discipline completes continuing education as determined by the board that regulates the discipline. In addition, our facility offers a variety of monthly trainings over different subject matters to ensure our staff is well-equipped to provide the highest level of care.
Safety and Well-being Measures
Our facility is a locked facility, ensuring that visitors must be let in by staff. This measure is in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents at all times.
Transition Resources and Support Services
Our social worker provides numerous resources to aid residents' transition back to the community or to another care facility, ensuring a smooth and supported process.
Transportation Services
Transportation is provided for doctor's appointments and planned resident outings, facilitating access to necessary health care and social activities.
Dining Experience
Residents are encouraged to eat their meals in the dining room, though we understand some prefer to eat in their rooms. Our dietary manager, with over 15 years of experience and in collaboration with a registered dietitian, creates nutritious and appealing menus. The quality of our kitchen's food is so high that most staff, including the Administrator, enjoy meals from it regularly.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Grievance forms are readily available throughout the facility for any resident with a complaint or issue. These are addressed by the Administrator, who is accessible to residents, families, and staff 24/7, even providing her cell phone number for direct communication.
Cost of Living
Most resident costs are covered by Medicare or Medicaid, with private pay covering room and board, which includes meals. Medications are typically covered by the resident's insurance plan.
Communication with Residents' Families
We hold quarterly care plans with each family and resident. Any changes in condition or medication are communicated by the nurse to the family. Our NP and doctor, who visit the facility regularly, are also available to address any concerns.
Short-term or Respite Stays
The cost of short-term or respite stays is normally covered by insurance, providing flexibility for residents and their families.
Pet Policy
While we do not allow pets to live at the facility, we encourage family members to bring fully vaccinated pets for visits, recognizing the joy and comfort they bring to our residents.
Vaccination Services
Flu, pneumonia, and COVID vaccinations are offered annually to all residents and upon request, ensuring our community's health and well-being.
Aging in Place
As a skilled nursing facility, all our residents are able to age in place, receiving the care and support they need throughout their stay with us. We currently do not have a waiting list, allowing for timely admissions as needed.
