Overview of Staff and Training
Every member of our staff is specifically trained on working with seniors and attends monthly trainings as well. Many of our Directors hold a RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) License.
Safety and Well-being Measures
Our front desk is staffed from 7am to 9pm, every person who comes into the community must check in at the desk before they can go into the community. Any door on the side of the building is locked from the inside. When the Concierge leaves for the night the front door is locked. We also have care staff members in the community 24/7.
Resources for Transitioning Residents
We have a welcome committee made up of residents who will invite a new resident to an activity or to join them in the dining room for a meal. Our Activity Director or Activity Assistant will also encourage new residents to come to activities.
Transportation Services
We do offer transportation. Anything within a seven-mile radius of the community is complimentary, if someone is going out of that radius there is a flat fee of $25. Our driver is here Monday thru Friday. Any transportation needed is scheduled through the front desk and requires 48 hours' notice to ensure the driver is available.
Dining Experience
We offer all day dining. Our dining room is open from 7am-7pm, residents can come down anytime in that window to get something to eat. We have an all-day menu available and daily special that are available during standard mealtimes. Such as the lunch special is available for 11:30am to 1:30pm and the dinner special is available from 4:30pm to 7pm.
Addressing Resident Complaints
If the resident has an issue, we ask they take it directly to our Executive Director and from there she can determine how to address the resident's concerns.
Communication with Families
When any staff member notices a change in a resident it is immediately reported to our Health and Wellness Director or the Resident Care Coordinator. From there the Health and Wellness director will reach out to the family and get a care conference scheduled to discuss the changes that have been noticed and come up with an updated care plan with the family.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do offer respite stays. The minimum amount of time for the stay is one week and the maximum amount being one month, anything over a month is considered as moving in. Respite stay cost starts at $250 a night; if any care is needed the cost of care is added on. With the respite stay we provide a fully furnished studio apartment, and access to everything in the community.
Pet-Friendly Community
We are pet-friendly, we allow dogs, cats, and birds as well, with the approval from our Executive Director.
Waitlist Information
We do currently have a waitlist in place for our 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments. There is also a waitlist for our Memory Care as well.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
We did offer a booster clinic for the residents in the beginning of fall. If a resident was not able to attend the clinic, through the transportation we offer, we can take the resident to get their booster shots.
Aging in Place
Yes, residents can age in place. If a resident first moves into the community as an independent resident and later needs care down the line, they do not have to move. Our care staff will start going to their apartment and providing whatever assistance is needed. The only time a move is necessary is when memory care becomes needed.
