Overview of Staff and Training

We have a nurse on staff from Monday to Friday, personal care attendants available 24/7, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, kitchen and waitstaff, and maintenance. Our staff at the Lodge must complete online training courses and some of the positions receive in-service training.

Safety and Well-being Measures

We have monthly fire drills and regular inspections from the fire department for our fire alarms. We can perform wellness checks on residents if needed.

Resources for Transition to Community

We can offer transportation from previous residence to our community if needed and we have contacts for moving services.

Transportation Services

We have a shuttle service available to our residents.

Dining Experience

Our dining room is restaurant style and open seating. Our dinner menu rotates every day with 2 daily special entrees and we have a set menu if our residents are uninterested in either option.

Complaint and Issue Resolution Process

Residents could stop by our administrator’s office if they would like to address any specific issues. We also have a council run by the residents that takes place monthly where they discuss things they like and things they would like changed. Lastly, we have a suggestion box in the front of our community where residents may write down any complaints or issues they want addressed.

Communication with Families

Anytime there is a change in condition, we set up care conferences with our residents’ families to discuss the next best steps.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Our respite stays are a minimum of 1 week at a rate of $325/day.

Pet Policy

Yes, we allow pets in our community.

Vaccine Availability

We have recently had a Safeway pharmacy worker come to our community to administer COVID and flu vaccines to our residents.

Aging in Place

Yes, residents are able to age in place. Our residents have options to move between levels of care as one’s needs progress. We do have a sister facility called Elders Inn that provides high acuity care if a resident’s needs progress past what Waters Edge Lodge could care for. We currently do not have a waitlist.
