Overview on Types of Professionals on Our Staff and Their Training
We fill each position with candidates that meet the educational and experience qualifications for that role. Education continues during employment, and completion of continued education is required and monitored.Measures to Ensure Safety and Well-Being of Residents
Our community has an Executive Director who manages each department and those employees. Each department also has specific department directors. Additional operational oversight is provided by our regional and corporate administrators, along with mandatory state oversight to ensure that our community complies with health and safety requirements.Resources and Support Services for Residents' Transition
We have both a Waterford Grand staff welcoming committee as well as a Resident welcoming committee. These committees are in place to familiarize the new resident with employees, residents, and procedures, helping them become comfortable and successful at Waterford Grand.Transportation Services for Residents
Yes, we have scheduled transportation for medical visits. We also offer transportation for shopping days and various events. Additionally, a local company called Ridesource provides transportation for our residents.Dining Experience
Our dining is best experienced in person, perhaps as part of your tour. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a normal daily schedule. We offer restaurant-style dining where a server comes to the table, explains the Chef's daily special, and answers questions regarding menu items. Additionally, we have a bistro adjacent to the dining rooms where drinks, food, and snacks are available for our residents.Process for Addressing Resident Complaints or Issues
There are numerous ways to handle a problem, but generally, if the resident isn't comfortable addressing the issue directly with the department head, the Executive Director will meet with the resident and work to resolve the issue with the appropriate department members.Cost of Living in Our Community

The level of communication with family members, and the means or type of communication, is set up during the signing of the Residency Agreement. Please note, this can be amended or added to at any time during residency.Short-Term or Respite Stays
We offer Respite stays in both Assisted Living and Memory Care. The cost is determined during our clinical team's evaluation of the prospective resident.Pet-Friendly Community
Yes, we are. There is a deposit fee for the pet, and care available that can be added to the resident's care plan.Current Waitlist
Yes, we do. Depending on the type of apartment desired, the waitlist may be long, short, or non-existent.Covid and Flu Vaccinations in the Community
Yes, we set up numerous in-community Covid and flu vaccinations for our residents. The residents are notified well in advance and assisted if necessary.Aging in Place
Yes, residents are able to age in place. Between our Assisted Living and Memory Care, and the numerous levels of care available, this is quite often how residents approach living in our community.
