Waltonwood Ashburn offers Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory care all in one community, allowing our staff to be attentive and caring individuals to meet your every need. From our life enrichment program to help fuel your mind, body, and soul to our culinary experience in our dining rooms. Our community offers great amenities including a pool.

Community Overview

The senior living community offers a variety of living options including assisted living, memory care, and independent living. The community is designed to cater to different needs and preferences, with certain styles of apartments currently having a waitlist. However, there is availability in assisted living and memory care, as well as some options in independent living.

Accommodations and Amenities

The community is pet-friendly and even features a small dog park for the enjoyment of its residents and their furry companions. For new residents moving in, the community provides recommendations for moving companies to assist with the transition.

Transportation Services

Residents have access to transportation services, including a wheelchair-accessible van and a Cadillac for their convenience. These services are available within a 10-mile radius, with an additional charge per mile thereafter.

Dining Experience

The dining services at the community emphasize locally sourced ingredients, with a main kitchen that prepares a variety of meal options. Accommodations for dietary restrictions such as vegetarian, low-sugar, and low-sodium diets are available. While the kitchen is not kosher, efforts are made to accommodate diets such as a challah diet.

Staff and Training

The community employs a registered nurse to oversee assisted living and memory care, with LPNs serving as wellness coordinators. Certified nursing assistants are available 24/7 to provide care. Staff training is conducted annually, with additional in-person and virtual training sessions throughout the year, including virtual dementia training.

Safety and Security

For resident safety, the community provides pendants for emergencies, with 24/7 care staff available to respond in assisted living and memory care. The community's doors remain locked for security, but a 24/7 concierge is available to assist with entry when necessary.

Resident Relations and Family Communication

Residents can voice complaints and concerns through council meetings or by scheduling meetings with the independent living manager. The community maintains open lines of communication with residents' families through monthly newsletters, a resident portal, and a website that features news articles and an activity calendar.

Respite Care

The community offers respite care or short-term stays with a minimum duration of 30 days. While there is typically a 10% increase in cost for these stays, the community has chosen not to charge the additional fee.
