I have also attached our Resident Handbook, and admission agreement for your review. These should help answer a lot of your questions.I am just curious, are you looking for yourself or a loved one?
Here are the answers to your questions:
Our professionals, nurses (LVN), CNA’s and Registered Dietitian are all licensed. We also have Caregivers who go through on-the-job training initially and annually. Our staff also is trained by Relias, a system that teaches on all topics that the state requires us to have. We have nursing around the clock as well as security. Each room is equipped with a motion detector system. Each resident is also given a pendant emergency response system which works anywhere on campus. We do safety checks and need to see each of our residents at least one time daily. We also have nursing here at our community 24 hours a day. They are able to quickly respond to any resident’s needs and emergencies.
For residents transitioning into our community, our entire team helps them get settled in. From dining services to housekeeping, each department has touchpoints and introductions to help ensure the resident gets settled in as quickly as possible. We also have a list of companies outside of Walnut Village that help with the moving and move management, which we can help provide to the future resident. Do you need some resources for moving or move management?
Dining program here is fabulous and overseen by a registered dietitian. I have attached a few sample menus for you. There are many options and we are able to accommodate a variety of special diets. Do you have any specific dietary concerns?
We have many avenues for residents, family, and staff to voice concerns. They are able to address concerns at Town Hall meetings, privately with the appropriate Department Head or Executive Director. We also have a Resident Services Director who helps field any concerns from residents or family members. Our Executive Director addresses any updates or concerns in a weekly Friday memo she sends out to all residents as well.
Our Director of Health Services communicates directly to the resident’s responsible party. If she is not at the community when a concern arises, her nursing staff communicates with the resident’s family on their wellbeing. When 911 is called, our staff is on the phone with the family giving them a live update as to what is happening.
We are pet friendly. What type of animal do you have?
We do not offer respite care.

There are periodic clinic days for vaccines throughout the year for COVID and flu vaccinations.
Yes, residents are able to age in place.
