Vista on 5th offers two pricing options for their senior living community:

• Medicaid Option: If the resident is pre-approved for Medicaid and has an active Medicaid account, the price is $1,667 per month. This rate is subject to change.
• Private Pay Rate: For those not utilizing Medicaid, the private pay rate is $6,000 per month.

Accommodations and Furnishings

Residents at Vista on 5th are provided with essential furniture to ensure comfort and convenience. This includes a bed, dresser, dining table, and lamp within each apartment.

Pet Policy

While residents are not allowed to have pets in their apartments, unless it is an approved service animal, Vista on 5th does have a pet therapy program that brings a variety of animals into the community regularly for the enjoyment of all residents.

Dining Experience

The dining room at Vista on 5th is located on the 14th floor, offering stunning views of Central Park. Residents enjoy three meals a day with snacks available in between. The community boasts themed menus, barbecues in the courtyard, and a wide variety of food options including homemade lasagna, fresh vegetables, in-house desserts, and more.

Safety and Security

To ensure the safety of its residents, Vista on 5th has a concierge available at the front desk 24 hours a day. A suggested curfew of 11 p.m. is in place, and a system for checking IDs in and out when residents leave or enter the building helps keep track of everyone's whereabouts.

Residents can address their complaints to the case managers who will assess, investigate, and direct the issues to the appropriate departments. Additionally, residents have access to the Ombudsman and the Department of Health, with relevant contact information posted around the building.

While Vista on 5th does not provide escort services to doctor's appointments or outside visits, they do have connections with trusted individuals who can be arranged for such services. The community has a vehicle designated for recreational outings, and residents are allowed to travel as they wish, adhering to a leave of absence policy for overnight stays.

Staff and Diversity

The staff at Vista on 5th reflects the diversity of New York City, with multilingual capabilities in languages such as Spanish, Russian, Korean, and French. The team includes nurses, mostly LPNs, med techs, and home health aides who assist residents with their daily activities. Additionally, the community has case management and an entire life and health center.
