Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
No current waitlist.
Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
All our staff goes through an Anthem Alzheimer’s and Dementia training course prior to working with our residents. All our Directors in house are Certified Dementia Practitioners and continue our training throughout employment along with the rest of the staff.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
We are memory care only here, so our building is secure, residents do not leave the premises without staff, family or friend. We have 2 secure courtyards as well they have access to. Each of their rooms also has a device called AUGI which is a HIPPA compliant monitoring system for fall prevention. It does not record 24/7 but it is motion activated so if a resident is trying to get up in the middle of the night it will be activated and alert staff.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
Staff is trained to help ensure that the transition of a new resident is smooth, having their room set up with furniture and things that are familiar also help with making sure they have somewhere that feels “homey.”
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
We do not typically do that. We do have a bus that we use for resident outings, if it is an appointment that we know about ahead of time and can schedule appropriate staff to assist we might be able to do that.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
We have a Dining Services Director who provides consistent mealtime at 8am, 12pm, and 5pm along with snacks and drinks available all day in between. A menu is posted daily so residents can see what will be served along with an All-Day Dining menu which provides choices to select something else if there is something for one of the meals you do not like. Dessert is served with lunch and dinner daily!
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
Once they have let a staff member know, we would get Directors involved to look into what the issue is. Clinical staff would likely reach out to the Power of Attorney
What is the cost of living in your community?
Please see attached rate sheet for room rates along with levels of care.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
All communication is done with the Power of Attorney for the resident, that is who will be called first if there is something urgent or something that needs to be addressed.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
Respite stays are a minimum of 2 weeks up to a max of 30 days, past that they would become a resident. The cost is $275 a day plus a level of care fee.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
Yes we are pet friendly.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
We did just have residents getting flu shots, you are able to still go out to obtain any immunizations with friend or relative or if you use one of the mobile Drs they could send someone to do those here.
Are residents able to age in place?
Yes, residents can stay with us through the end of their journey here. We are considered a “lifting facility” so we can manage 2 person assist or Hoyer lift if needed. Residents are free to utilize Home Health or Hospice services just like they would at their own residential home. No current waitlist
