Overview of Staff and Training

My Clinical Director over Assisted Living has been here for 22 years, my CNA's/CMA's have been here 5-8 years, FT Chaplain, Facility Director, Director of Nursing, Executive Director, Nutritionist, Dietary Director, Housekeeping Lead. As for training, every employee finishes the Dementia Live training, plus monthly in-services set forth by Ascension.

Safety and Well-Being Measures

We are a 5-star community awarded by Medicare. We have monthly fire safety/tornado safety drills. Our resident "call light" system is recorded on a computer so the response time can be viewed at any time.

Resources and Support Services

We offer a FT Chaplain and Activity Director who help with transitions.

Transportation Services

Yes, transportation is provided.

Dining Experience

We offer 3 balanced meals directed by our nutritionist, and we offer several options to choose from. We can also accommodate special diet requests.

Complaint Resolution Process

Complaints are handled through our Executive Director or Director of the Department.

Cost of Living

I have 2 different room sizes for Assisted Living, and 3 room sizes for Long Term Care, with costs depending on the room chosen. My Independent Living duplexes have a set cost. I will be happy to discuss these options and pricing with you during a tour or lunch.

Family Communication Policy

The nursing Directors and managers communicate on a regular basis with families. Care plans are conducted monthly and quarterly.

Short-Term or Respite Stays

Currently, at this time, we do not offer short-term or respite stays as our apartments are not furnished.

Pet-Friendly Policy

Yes, we love pets. If your loved one has a dog, they are responsible for taking the dog out and cleaning up afterward. The same policy applies to having a cat; the resident must take care of the litter box.

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Yes, residents are able to get Covid and flu vaccinations in the community.

Aging in Place

Yes, Ascension Living Via Christi McLean is a CCRC community, the only one Ascension Living owns in Wichita. Ben, I hope this answers your questions.
