MEMORY CARE PACKAGES

Each resident is required to purchase one of the following care level packages to receive Memory Care services.

Chef prepared meal plan option is available. Resident is not required to select a food plan. If a resident opts out of participation in the three meals per day food plan, family will be required to provide and prepare all three meals per day to the resident (without staff assistance). Daily refreshments and snacks included.

Overview of Staff Training

Prior to training on-site, employees attend Ebenezer New Employee Orientation. The duration of orientation depends on the position. The Executive Director (ED) ensures that new employees receive comprehensive training, including:

• Hand washing competency testing by a nurse or department manager.
• Completion of the Ebenezer OSHA and Infection Control module in Educare.
• Training in site-specific safety procedures and the Educare module: Emergency Preparedness – Site Issues.
• For Elderly Waiver communities, training in Elderly Waiver requirements and the Rights – HCBS Settings Rule – Residential Providers –v1.0 in Educare.
• Training in the use of site-specific equipment by the RN Director for Home Care employees.
• Completion of various Educare modules by Resident Assistants and nurses, including the Dementia Comprehensive Series and Client Mobility.
• Dimensions Leadership course attendance for nurses.
• Training and competency testing in designated nursing tasks by the RN Director.

NEW Training Outline

All new employees attend New Employee Orientation covering a wide range of topics, including:

• Aging Process, Basic Maintenance, Compliance/Code of Conduct, and more.
• Various Dementia Comprehensive Series modules.
• Additional training for Resident Assistants, RNs, LPNs, and Executive Directors in areas such as Client Mobility and Medication Administration.

Safety and Well-being of Residents

Measures in place include an Individual Abuse Prevention Plan, 24/7 staff on site, regular Quality Control and Safety Committee meetings, and compliance with State of Minnesota regulations. For more information, contact the Executive Director.

Support Services for Residents' Transition

Resources include leadership team introductions, apartment inspections, activity calendar overview, dining information, and a new resident welcome coffee.

Transportation Services

A bus and full-time driver are available for medical appointments, shopping, excursions, and events as per the activity calendar.

Dining Experience

Memory Care and Biltmore Dining Room offer daily specials, an "always available" menu, and table service without buffets or cafeteria style dining.

Resident Complaint Process

Residents can express grievances verbally or in writing, with a specific process for timely handling of complaints.

Cost of Living

Pricing sheets are available for detailed cost information.

Communication with Residents' Families

Limited emails for independent residents, and regular care conferences for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Available on a case-by-case basis with a minimum of 14-day stay, starting at $85 per day plus care level package costs.

Pet-Friendly Community

Pets are welcome with a $500 fee, vet records, and adherence to community rules.

Waitlist Information

A waitlist exists for certain apartment types, with current availability for various floorplans. Contact for tours and more information.

Continuum of Care Community

We are a continuum of care community, which means you will never have to move out of your apartment if you ever need Assisted Living services. Our continuum of care also allows those who need memory care to transfer to our memory care, The Willows.
