Overview of Professional Staff and Training
Our staff includes a variety of professionals committed to providing quality care for our residents. We have concierge doctors and specialty doctors such as podiatrists who visit and care for our residents. Additionally, we provide a range of professional resources from licensed and trained individuals to support resident care and needs. Our executive director, who oversees the community, holds an RCFE license, a law degree, and multiple certifications including a nursing home facilitator license. Our staff undergoes regular monthly, quarterly, and yearly training focused on resident safety and care. Certain positions require specific certifications that necessitate annual training.Resident Safety and Well-being Measures
We have a comprehensive safety and emergency plan that we are eager to review with you in person. This includes detailed safety books and procedures to ensure resident security at all times.Resources for Resident Transition
To facilitate a smooth transition into our community, we offer 10 hours of organizational and moving services. Additionally, we provide 10 hours of maintenance services to help residents complete their home setup.Transportation Services
We offer complimentary transportation services within a 10-mile radius using our Lincoln SUV and Cadillac Sedan. We request that rides be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.Dining Experience
At Varenna, dining is an inclusive and diverse experience with breakfast, lunch, and dinner served in various dining rooms offering multiple menu options. Breakfast includes a full continental selection and a table-service breakfast menu. Lunch and dinner are served in both the bar and dining rooms with table service, featuring 10 specials daily and a rotating seasonal menu every 6-8 weeks.Complaint and Issue Resolution Process
Residents are encouraged to bring their complaints or issues directly to the executive director. Depending on the nature of the matter, it might also be addressed by the resident committee.Communication Policy with Resident's Families
We aim to maintain open communication with families according to their preferences, ranging from daily to yearly updates. For residents in care, communication is more frequent. Our lifeloop system allows families to monitor and engage with the resident’s activities.Short-term or Respite Stays

Each home in our community is equipped with a full assisted living license and a hospice license, enabling residents to age in place through to end-of-life care. While there is a waiting list, we offer a variety of homes varying in views, types, and sizes.
