Waitlist Deposit Information

The waitlist deposit is $2000 for one person or for a couple. This deposit is 100% refundable at any time and for any reason. The typical time spent on our waitlist before being offered an apartment is 2 to 3 years.

Priority for UWRA Members

Members of the University of Washington Retirement Association (UWRA) are given priority on our waitlist, and typically only wait between 8 months to 1 year.

University House Wallingford: A Hub of Lifelong Learning

University House Wallingford is one of eight Era Living retirement communities in the greater Seattle area. We’re located in the Wallingford neighborhood, and were developed in collaboration with the University of Washington Retirement Association (UWRA) and Era Living. Our connection with the UW goes back over twenty-five years, and it informs the culture of our community, which focuses on the pursuit of lifelong learning.

University House Wallingford is a vibrant community located within walking distance of Green Lake, Gasworks Park, and the Burke Gilman trail, as well as a variety of restaurants and local businesses. We have a robust activity calendar which includes in-house lectures and performances by University faculty as well as by residents. We offer trips to theatrical performances, the Seattle Opera, and the Seattle Symphony. Our residents enjoy regular visits to local museums, parks, shopping destinations, and sporting events. Further afield, we’ve made trips to the State Capitol in Olympia, the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, Mt. Rainier, and Leavenworth Bavarian Village.

Comprehensive Assisted Living Services

We also offer a wide spectrum of Assisted Living Services if the need arises, the services are administrated right in the resident’s apartment…no need to move if Assisted Living Services are needed!
