Overview of Professional Staff and Training
Our staff includes a range of nursing professionals such as RNs (Registered Nurses), LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses), CMAs (Certified Medication Aids), and CNAs (Certified Nursing Aids). All nursing positions are licensed with the state of Kansas, adhering to the education guidelines set by the state board of nursing. In addition to our nursing staff, TPM's dietary, housekeeping, administrative, and nursing personnel undergo regular monthly compliance training to meet annual requirements. Staff members also have the opportunity to apply for educational scholarships, and we host clinicals for CMA and CNA classes.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We have a coded door system for entering and exiting the assisted living area, although our unit is not considered a "secured/locked" unit. This is part of our commitment to resident safety and well-being.
Resources for Transitioning into the Community
The nursing staff serve as the primary resource for residents transitioning into Assisted Living. Family members are responsible for coordinating the move of the resident and their belongings into the apartment.
Transportation Services
Transportation is available for residents at a cost of $15 round trip and must be scheduled with our transportation staff. Medical appointments are given priority, and scheduling should be done as early as possible.
Dining Experience
Residents have the option to choose from the daily special or select items from the always available menu. Meals are served restaurant-style.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Resident and family member complaints are taken seriously and can be made without fear of retaliation. The process for addressing complaints depends on the nature of the issue.
Cost of Living
The cost of living in our community is detailed on the pricing sheet provided, which includes accommodation costs plus the level of services required.
Communication with Residents' Families
Our nursing staff handles communication with families regarding residents' well-being, ensuring they are kept informed.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer short-term or respite stays, with costs equivalent to regular accommodation and level of care charges.
Pet-Friendly Community
While we are a pet-friendly community, residents are not permitted to have pets live with them. However, volunteers and family members frequently bring animals to the facility for residents to enjoy.
