Overview of Our Health Services Staff
The Windsor’s Health Services Department consists of a dedicated group of professionals who provide personalized assistance for our residents in the comfort of their apartment homes. Our personal care attendants (PCAs) have over 50 years of combined experience in senior care. They take pride in meeting the needs of our residents in an efficient, yet compassionate manner.- Amy O’Neil, NREMT-P (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians -Paramedic) is the Health Services Director and brings with her valuable experience as a Paramedic.
- Nicole Demoruelle, NREMT-B (National Registry Emergency Medical Technician) is the Health Services Assistant.
Safety and Well-Being Measures
- Daily check-in system with each resident
- We have 24/7 care staff on-site
- Our community is completely secure
- Must have a code to enter
- 24/7 surveillance
Support Services for Resident Transition
- We have welcome seminars for new residents twice monthly.
- Every new resident is appointed a community representative (current resident) to help transition into life at The Windsor.
Transportation Services
- Every Monday & Friday, residents can go as a group to the grocery stores/banks.
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday we can take residents to local appointments.
- Trips to the casinos, movie theaters twice monthly.
Dining Experience
- We have restaurant-style fine dining (white table clothes, servers, etc.)
- Extended Continental Breakfast (7:30AM – 9:30AM): Choice of eggs (cooked how they prefer), meat, biscuits, toast, bagels, cereal bar, parfait bar, fruit bar
- Daily 5 Course Lunch (11:30AM – 1:30PM): Multiple daily entrées, sides, soups, salads, desserts to choose from, alternate menu on back (sandwiches, salads)
- Tuesday & Thursday complimentary light dinner to-go (12pm-6pm): Choice of soup, sandwich, snack bar
Complaint and Issue Resolution Process
- Residents can bring it up in the monthly resident council meeting.
- They can meet with managers personally.
- They can meet with the GM personally.
Communication with Residents' Families
- We have emergency contacts (primary & secondary).
- We update/offer care plan meetings for changes in health, changes in behavior, falls, LOC changes.
Short-Term or Respite Stays
We do not offer respite. Residents can sign a 1 or 2-year contract, which locks their price for 1 or 2 years. However, residents may leave with written 30-day notice at any time.
Pet Policy
We are pet-friendly to visiting pets, but we do not allow pets to stay overnight.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
Yes, we offer vaccination clinics on-site.
Aging in Place
Yes, we strive to instill independence and privacy for all residents while offering personalized care plans for each resident. Staff at The Windsor have a long history of treating our residents like family as they age in place in our vibrant, beautiful senior living community. We have non-stop activities, exercise classes, outdoor walking paths, and religious services available. We currently have a waiting list for our 2BR apartments.
