Overview of Staff and Training
Our team includes a Licensed Administrator with over 40 years of experience, Licensed RN, LPN, a visiting Licensed Physician and NP (twice a week), Certified CNAs, and trained/certified direct care (PCAs). All staff undergo background and drug testing, and are certified annually in First Aid/CPR.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We prioritize safety with cameras throughout the community (excluding resident rooms to comply with HIPAA), 24/7 staff presence, regular 2-hour checks, secure and alarmed doors, call bells in apartments, and all required building safety features including water sprinklers and monthly drills.
Transition Support Services
We assist families and residents in making a smooth transition into our community, offering support from our Chaplain, nursing staff, and existing residents. We also host a VA ALZ group for community support.
Transportation Services
While families typically provide transportation to outside medical appointments, we coordinate with local medical transport companies upon request.
Dining Experience
Residents enjoy meals in a remodeled dining room, with a maximum of three tablemates. Our meals, prepared by a Chef and certified cooks, feature local ingredients and are designed to be heart-healthy. We accommodate dietary needs based on physician orders and offer meal options.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Complaints are addressed by the relevant department, with an open policy encouraging residents to speak with any staff member for resolution. We adhere to strict guidelines and regulations in our response.
Communication with Families
We maintain frequent communication with families, involving them in activities and keeping them informed about their loved ones' well-being through our nursing department and strict documentation policies.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer respite care with a 14-day minimum stay at $240 per day, including a fully furnished apartment. Residents are responsible for their personal items.
Pet-Friendly Community
Our community welcomes pets, requiring a non-refundable security deposit of $300.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
We organize an annual clinic for Covid and flu vaccinations in collaboration with our physician and pharmacy.
Aging in Place
Our community supports residents from independent living through end of life care, coordinating with area hospice as needed. We currently have a waitlist for one-bedroom apartments, with a few studio apartments available.
