Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
Yes. We have Bluestone Physician Group as well as Odom health in our community. Residents are welcome to use outside agencies as well. For more details, contact kburns@thewaters.com
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
We have a bus for activities and events only including Tuesdays for Target and Cub Foods - Not for personal use to doctor appointments, etc. Our concierge staff can help a resident in providing services that will help get them somewhere like metro mobility or an uber.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
We offer three meals a day in our dining room or café as well as grab and go food/drink. All of our meals have servers taking down their food choice and delivering it to their table or residents can get it to go. It is best to experience it to understand it and see how great the restaurant, service and food are.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
They can provide a written complaint or a verbal complaint to our concierge and then our Executive Director (ED) will follow up within 24 hours with a written response.
What is the cost of living in your community?
These details are in the document I sent you. It depends on the style of apartment you would like.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
We provide options to email family members with activities and events as well as open lines of communication between leadership and family members. Sometimes we see things that we want to make you aware of and we expect the same in return from family members. You can also schedule family consultations with our ED and our HWBD.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
We do not offer short-term or respite at our community in Excelsior.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
Yes. This was also in the information I sent with deposit and price.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
Yes when available.
Are residents able to age in place?
Yes. That is what Assisted Living Licensure is all about. However, if their cares become more than what our services offer, then we will have that discussion with family.
