Community Details

Community Details

This detailed information was received through an email from the Move-In Coordinator at The Springs At Bozeman via email on 2024-06-18.

An overview on the types of professionals on our staff:

We have extensive training especially for our care staff. The CARES training is something we all take in order to help provide the proper care and compassion to our residents. A lot of our care staff are also CNA certified and we are all required to take CPR/First Aid. Our Health Services team consists of our Administrator that oversees AL and MC, along with our RN and we have two LPNs on staff as well.

Measures in place to ensure safety and wellbeing:

We are a closed, private, secured community. This means that our front doors as the only ones to remain open during our “business hours” which are from 7:30am to 8:00pm. All of our residents have individual keys that are programmed to their apartment and will get them into the building if after hours. We have 24/7 staff here in the building that monitor visitors and ensure our residents are safe. Our Memory Care has a code that you must enter in order to enter and exit, we also have security cameras and certain areas of the building.

Resources and support services to support transition into the community:

To help our new residents become comfortable here, we have an ambassador program. This is a group of our residents who are “buddied up” with a new resident to have dinner with them, go to activities with them, show them around, etc. We also have a department called “Resident Relations”, they make sure to check on the residents several times for the first couple of weeks after they have moved in.

Transportation services:

We have transportation services available to all residents to take them within city limits of Bozeman! So, if the resident has a doctor appointment coming up, they put in a transportation request card at least 48 hours in advance. Putting it in 48 hours in advance allows for us to appropriately staff drivers for each day.

Our dining experience:

We have 3 dining rooms in the building. One near our assisted living side of the building, one near our independent living, and our pub. The residents get 3 meals a day, snacks, coffee, etc. included in their rent. 2 of the 3 dining rooms are open for all three meals a day, with one even being open between meal times with a limited menu. Our dining is restaurant style, which means we have servers that come to their table once they sit down and they wait on them (bringing them menus, taking their orders, etc.). Then, the resident is able to just leave and go back to their room when they are done.

For guests, they have the option to either add the guests’ meal charge to their rent for the month or to allow for the guests to pay with cash or card while they are here.

Complaints/Issues:

For complaints (and compliments) we have a comment card system. The resident will fill out the card and drop it in the box, and our Executive Director collects them weekly. He will then handle the situation, which could mean talking to the resident that left the card or talking to the department head in which it applies to get the situation resolved. If the issue is bigger, the resident can meet with our Executive Director to get things handled.

Cost of Living:

The cost of living varies based on level of care, floor plan, view, etc. I will attach a rate sheet that gives you ranges of what each type of floor plan will cost, as well as our care cost chart. In independent living, the care cost chart does not apply, if the resident needs anything from the care cost chart, then they are assisted living or memory care qualified.

I will also attach a summary of our different community levels so that you can see the difference between the 3.

Communication with residents’ families:

Communication is crucial! After someone moves into the community the relationship gets passed on from our Community Relations to our Resident Relations team. They are the folks that will let the family know if there is any change of condition in a resident, help answer questions, and serve as that contact for you.

Short term/respite stays:

Our community operates on a month-to-month basis. So, the resident is not locked into a year-long contract with us. We do require a 30-day notice though if the resident is planning to leave the community.

Pet friendly:

We are a pet friendly community, but we have a 35lb weight restriction.

Waitlist:

Our waitlist is dependent on what exactly you are looking for. We currently have a few independent living floor plans available, a couple of assisted living, and memory care rooms. So, we have a good selection right now, but if you are looking for something super specific, we can chat about those options!

On site vaccinations:

Yes! We do offer vaccine clinics. When we host one at The Springs that information gets communication with the family and residents about when it will take place.

Aging in place:

Yes, we are an age in place community. Many of our residents will transition from Independent Living to Assisted Living and in some cases to our Memory Care. We have eight different levels of care that can go up to end of life.
