Overview of Staff and Training

We have two LPNs, one of whom serves as our Assisted Living Director. Our caregivers hold certifications, however, they are not CNAs.

Safety and Well-being Measures

Our safety measures include wellness checks twice per shift. All residents are equipped with RCare buttons that can be worn on the wrist or around the neck; pressing the button calls the caregivers. Additionally, Assisted Living units feature pull cords in bathrooms. We have security available 24/7, and our courtyards are gated for added safety.

Resources for Transition

When residents move into Assisted Living, they undergo a comprehensive orientation. They also receive extra visits during their first three days to help ease the transition.

Transportation Services

Yes, we offer transportation services to doctor appointments within approximately a 7-mile radius. Our boundaries include Golf Links, Harrison, Alvernon, and Camp Lowell/Tanque Verde.

Dining Experience

Residents receive three meals a day in Assisted Living. Wheelchair escorts can be provided if needed. Menus are posted on our website, allowing family members to see the meal choices. There are four different meal options daily, along with some substitution choices.

Complaint Resolution Process

Residents can discuss any complaints or issues with our Director of Assisted Living or our Executive Director. Additionally, there is a monthly resident council meeting where concerns can be raised. The Director will provide an answer by the next meeting.

Communication with Families

Families can reach out to the Director or LPN via phone or email at any time.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Unfortunately, we do not offer respite stays.

Pet Policy

We are a pet-friendly community. Dogs must be under 25 pounds unless they are service animals. Cats are also welcome. Residents must be able to care for their pets, as caregivers are not responsible for walking or cleaning up after them.

Vaccination Availability

Covid-19 and flu vaccinations are available only during organized vaccination clinics.

Aging in Place

Residents can age in place as long as they do not require skilled nursing or memory care. Hospice services are allowed if needed. We maintain a waitlist for our Oasis Assisted Living. Transfers are prioritized for current residents before considering those on the waitlist. If you are not in a hurry, we can add your name or that of a family member to our waitlist.
