Could you provide an overview on the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We employ certified caregivers and medication technicians here at The Oaks. They are required to be certified under the state of Arizona standards, as well as participate in ongoing training here at the community.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
All residents are checked in on at least once daily and every apartment has a call cord in at least the bathroom. We also offer an optional pendent system for residents that they can wear to page the staff to their location.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
We have a move in coordinator who will assist with getting all the admission paperwork completed for an incoming resident. Our move in coordinator will also follow the resident for the first 7 days to make sure they are getting acclimated to living in the community.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
We do offer transportation for planned community outing as well as to doctors appointments Tuesdays and Thursdays within a ten mile radius.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
Our dining room is set up restaurant style so the residents will have their orders taken from a member of our service team. Our restaurant is open 7 to 7 so residents can come down and dine at there leisure. We offer three meals a day plus snacks included with all apartments.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
If a resident has a complaint they can report it to the front desk staff and it will be routed to the appropriate department so it can be addressed.
What is the cost of living in your community?
The cost of the community varies by both what type of apartment the resident is looking at and the level of care that is provided to them.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
If the need arises to communicate with a residents appointed contact the community leadership will reach out to said contact with the necessary update.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
We do not offer any type of short term or respite stays as our community is geared toward long term stays.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
We are pet friendly, although we do have a one time pet deposit of $500 dollars. We also do require current shot records on all pets as well.
Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
We do not currently have a waitlist.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
We do offer a yearly vaccine clinic where residents can get flu pneumonia and covid shots depending the year.
Are residents able to age in place?
Residents are able to age in place for the most part as our Independent and Assisted living are intermixed, the only time a resident would need to move from there apartment is if they were to need to transition to memory care. We do offer Memory care on our property as well.
