Overview of Our Professional Staff and Training
Our staff includes a diverse range of professionals such as RN, LPN, CMT, CNA, administration, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and culinary staff. They undergo continuous education throughout the year to meet state regulations and guidelines. This includes training on abuse and neglect, dementia, skills fairs, and generalized education for continuum of care.
Safety and Well-being Measures
To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, our facility is equipped with a fire panel that triggers alarms in case of fire, smoke, flood, or any other emergency. The facility doors are locked and require a keypad code for entry, which is provided to staff and families of residents. Additionally, we have security personnel who patrol the campus during the evening and overnight.
Support Services for Residents' Transition
When a resident is discharged to the community, we assist in services based on their request and needs to facilitate their transition.
Transportation Services
Transportation is available on a scheduled basis through coordination with our transportation coordinator, subject to her schedule and availability.
Dining Experience
We offer open dining in a central location, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Residents have the option to dine in their room if they prefer.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
If a resident has a complaint or an issue, they are encouraged to contact our grievance officer in social services. The necessary steps to resolve the issue are initiated and followed up on in a timely manner.
Communication with Residents' Families
Upon admission, each resident completes a HIPPA form that specifies which family members can receive clinical information. Care plan meetings are held within a week of admission and every three months thereafter. Family members can contact or visit a nurse at any time and request visits with the physician on a scheduled basis.
Short-term and Respite Stays
We do not offer respite stays. Our services include short-term rehabilitation from a hospital setting, as well as long-term care or memory support long-term care.
Pet-Friendly Community
Yes, we are a pet-friendly community on a visiting basis. Animals are not allowed to stay with a resident but are welcome to visit.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
Yes, residents are able to get Covid and flu vaccinations within the community.
Aging in Place
Yes, as a CCRC, we offer independent living, assisted living, and long-term care facilities on the same campus but in different buildings. The Manor currently has a waiting list.
