Waiting List Information
We do currently have a waiting list at our Legacy properties but it is not an extensive list. I would venture to say if someone was ready to go we could get them in within 1 to 5 months.
Staffing and Services
During our daily shift, we have a wide range of staff members on site including:
- Dining staff with servers, prep chefs, head chefs, and one executive Chef at each location overseeing the whole production.
- Enrichment department responsible for new resident acclimation, creating and managing activities, visitations to hospitals if our folks are out, and much more if it has to do with our residents' well-being.
- Housekeeping staff which clean not only the building but each person's apartment once a week.
- Nursing staff which consists of resident assistants, medication aids, LPNs, and one RN that is our director of clinical operations overseeing all of our properties in town.
- Front office staff which consists of receptionists, office manager, driver, and executive director.
- I am one of two retirement living advisors here.
- Finally, we have two maintenance guys here that take care of any repairs and issues we have in the building.
Our assisted living is licensed by the state so we adhere to all practices and standards set forth by the state. We take resident satisfaction and safety very seriously and always try to stay true to our values which are; Family, Compassion, Integrity, Community, and Quality.
Transition Help for New Residents
As far as transition help for new residents, we have a gal here that works with new move-ins to help them feel at home and avoid the stress of wondering what to do and where to go. She will sit down with the individuals to learn about them and connect them with others who may share similar interests.
Transportation Services
We do have transportation services in our community. Individual transportation is $10.00 for medical round trip and $15.00 for personal round trip. When it comes to a calendar event that we are all going to, that transportation will be included.
Dining in Our Communities
When it comes to dining in our communities, we do serve all three meals but only two are included with the monthly rent in our independent living. Lunch is an additional $7.00 if you would like to have all three. When it comes to assisted living, as per state law, we provide all three meals with your rent. In independent living, we serve breakfast and lunch continental style whereas dinner is restaurant style where a server comes to your table and takes your order.
Handling Complaints
If we have any complaints in our community, we encourage folks to bring them up right away with our executive director. Once we have received a complaint, we see what we can do to resolve the issue as soon as possible and communicate that with the individual.
Communication with Family Members
We try to keep an open line of communication with resident family members and keep them informed however they prefer. We do also use Lifeloop, which is an app that opens communication with our residents and their families. Family members can get onto the app and see what their family members are participating in and they can also see what is coming up in the community.
Respite Care and Aging in Place
We do not tend to offer respite care for short periods of time, we try to reserve our assisted living for those that need the full-time services going forward. Our residents at Legacy are able to age in place in independent living if they would like and pay for nursing services as needed like an a la carte item at a restaurant or they can move down the hall to our assisted living where we have nursing staff 24/7.
Pet Policy
We are pet friendly here at the Legacy and folks in independent living are more than welcome to have pets but we do NOT allow pets in assisted living. We have run into a few issues where the pets end up needing care and we are not here to take care of your pets, our focus is on you the individual.
Vaccination Services
Over the years, we have been able to offer COVID and flu vaccines here in the community so if you do not want to go out to get them, you do not have to. We do currently have a waiting list at our Legacy properties but it is not an extensive list.
