Could you provide an overview on the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We have Med Techs, CNAs, and PCAs in the community 24-7. They undergo yearly training covering a range of medical topics, including Alzheimer's/Dementia Training, Medication, and ALF facility training. Additionally, our community RN is available weekly, managers are in the community Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-5 pm but are always on-call, our in-house doctor visits weekly, and mental health professionals come bi-weekly. We also have other third-party health staff who come in during the week depending on the resident's needs.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
All residents are monitored by floor staff, our care coordinators, the house doctor, an LHPS nurse, and our community director. Additionally, we have outside sources depending on the needs of the resident.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
Our community is happy to assist with this. We can also provide information about outside sources if needed.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
Yes, we do offer transportation services.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
We serve meals three times a day in the dining room. Residents are served at the table, and snacks are available during the day if they get hungry between meals.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
Residents can speak with a member of staff or management. We also have a monthly resident council they can attend to discuss any concerns or requests.
What is the cost of living in your community?
Assisted living costs $5,500 monthly, Memory Care Private costs $6,200.00, and Semi-Private costs $5,600.00. Additionally, there is a monthly charge of $150.00 if residents are inconsistent. An additional $200.00 monthly charge is applied if our in-house pharmacy is not used.
What is your policy on communication with residents' families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
Communication frequency is based on the needs of the resident. If they have a fall or do not feel well, the nursing department will contact the families. We also hold care plan meetings with families depending on the resident's condition. If a family wants updates from the doctor, they need to notify the doctor or community to set this up.
Do you offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
We do offer short-term or respite stays if we have available rooms. The cost is based on a daily rate.
Are you a pet-friendly community?
Yes, we are pet-friendly. Assisted living residents can bring a pet if they can take care of it themselves, as staff are not allowed to assist with pet care. We require copies of vet records and a one-time pet fee of $500 due on the day of admission.
Do you currently have a waitlist?
We do have residents waiting to move into the community.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
Our pharmacy offers yearly Flu and COVID vaccinations, and they come to the community to administer them.
Are residents able to age in place?
We like to keep our residents as part of our community. We offer in-house hospice and other third-party services to ensure they can remain in the community they call home.
