Types of Professionals on Staff and Their Training

We have caregivers and med technicians here 24/7, both of whom undergo extensive training courses provided by the company. Med technicians receive hands-on training and delegation by a corporate nurse. We also have a licensed LVN on staff full time. Additionally, our resident care coordinator oversees memory care. Other non-medical staff include myself, responsible for sales, a maintenance director, and an activities director.

Measures to Ensure Residents' Safety and Well-Being

Our memory care unit is a locked and secure area where only staff members have the code. The front entrance is locked after business hours for residents' safety, and staff members are present 24/7 to monitor the building.

Resources and Support Services for Resident Transition

We introduce new residents to others and our activity director engages them in activities to help them meet others and get involved in the community.

Transportation Services

We offer transportation on Tuesdays and Thursdays for doctorโ€™s appointments on a first-come, first-served basis. On Wednesdays, we use the bus for scheduled outings, and residents can sign up at the front desk. *This service is for assisted living residents only.*

Dining Experience

Menus are handed out on Tuesdays for the following week, giving residents a couple of days to make their selections. We offer daily specials and an always available menu. Memory care residents typically receive the special of the day unless specified otherwise by family.

Process for Resident Complaints or Issues

Residents can talk to our executive director to address any complaints.

Cost of Living in the Community

The cost of living is determined by floor plan, level of care, and medication management level. These are assessed by our nurse. Detailed price sheets for levels of care and floor plans are attached. Total cost is unique to each individual.

Policy on Communication with Residents' Families

Families can call anytime to speak to the med tech on staff for an update. In situations requiring the POA to be informed, staff will reach out according to the contact list.

Short-Term or Respite Stays

We do not offer respite stays.

Pet-Friendly Policy

Yes, we are pet-friendly. There is a $750 pet deposit fee at move-in, and all pets must be approved by our executive director.

Waitlist Information

We have a waitlist for female companions, studios, and one-bedroom units on the assisted living side. Currently, there is availability for a male companion or a one-bedroom deluxe. There is no waitlist for memory care.

Vaccinations

Residents can receive Covid and flu vaccinations within the community, typically through a clinic held in the fall.

Aging in Place

Yes, residents are able to age in place. We are a type B community.
