Community Details
This detailed information was received through an email from the Community Specialist at The Hearth At Stones Crossing via email on 2024-07-31.
Overview of Staff and Training
Our care staff consists of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), caregivers, Qualified Medication Aides (QMAs), and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). We have staff available 24 hours a day. All staff members are required to have the necessary licenses for their positions and undergo ongoing training mandated by our home office. Additionally, CPR certifications are a requirement for all staff.
Safety and Well-Being Measures
The safety and well-being of our residents are of utmost importance to us. We conduct weekly and monthly drills and secure all doors every two hours. Continued education training for staff covers all aspects of safety and emergency procedures. Background checks are performed on all residents and staff to ensure a safe environment.
Support Services for Resident Transition
While we do not have a designated support service aid, we pair new residents with existing residents who share similar interests to help ease their transition. Our care staff assists new residents in navigating the community and encourages participation in activities.
Transportation Services
Transportation services are available with designated days for appointments. We also organize outings on weekends and some weekdays.
Dining Experience
Our dining room offers a restaurant-style experience with a menu to choose from. Servers take orders, the kitchen prepares meals fresh, and servers deliver the meals. Alternative items are available if the menu does not meet a resident’s preference. Room trays are provided for residents who are unwell and cannot come to the dining room.
Complaint and Issue Resolution
If a resident or their family has a complaint, they can fill out a grievance form. The Wellness Director and Executive Director will address the issue and schedule a meeting with the resident and their family.
Cost of Living
The cost of living depends on the apartment selection. All apartments include utilities, cable, internet, maintenance, housekeeping once a week, laundry once a week, bedsheets changes and washes once a week, and three meals a day.
Family Communication Policy
With resident permission or POA paperwork, we maintain communication with families. Families are promptly updated in case of emergencies or significant changes in a resident's behavior that may necessitate a change in care.
Short-Term or Respite Stays
We prefer a minimum of 30 days for respite stays, but we can accommodate two-week stays if needed. The cost is $175 per day plus any required level of care.
Pet-Friendly Policy
We are a pet-friendly community and allow small dogs and cats.
Waitlist Status
We currently do not have a waitlist.
Vaccination Availability
We held a flu clinic last year and plan to do so again depending on interest. A Covid clinic has not been organized yet but may be considered based on demand.
Aging in Place
Our goal is to allow residents to age in place within our community.
