Our Care Staff

In our community, we have CNAs, LPNs, and nurses (no RNs) as our care staff. They are required to go through a new hire orientation and monthly trainings as a group, as well as personal training videos each month.

Safety and Well-being Measures

For the measures to help protect the safety and well-being of our residents, we have locked doors and a front desk with a concierge to follow protocol with sign-in processes. For health reasons, we are licensed by the Department of Health so we keep in close contact with them regarding their masking policies and suggestions to help keep everyone safe. We also run fire drills each quarter, as well as elopement drills to make sure that our staff is familiar with what to do in case these circumstances arise.

Transition to the Community

For a residents’ transition to the community, we have resident ambassadors to help guide them. These would be residents who have been here for a long time that know the community to help show them the ropes to their new home.

Transportation and Activities

Transportation is included for activities (i.e., Trips to Wegmans, shopping, lunch bunch, etc.) and doctor’s appointments (arranged through their Care Manager).

Dining Experience

We have one dining where we serve all three meals a day. The meals are served restaurant-style and the orders are taken when the resident sits down for a meal, not the day before. You can also choose to pick up your food and bring it back to your apartment as well for no extra cost.

Handling Complaints

If the resident has a complaint, we ask them to bring it to a supervisor (either a Care Manager or our Executive Director) so they can properly handle it. If it’s something that needs to be escalated to the Department of Health, our Executive Director will inform them, or the family can do so on their own.

Communication with Families

We communicate with the residents’ families quite frequently, usually through the Care Manager, as they are the ones seeing your loved one every day. In news of happenings around the building and announcements, those are sent out weekly by our Executive Director.

Leasing and Stays

We do not offer short-term stays. However, our leases are month-to-month so if a need arises where someone has to or wants to move out, they just have to give a 30-day notice.

Pet Policy

Yes, we accept cats and small dogs (weight limit of 30 pounds). The resident MUST be able to handle the pet themselves, including cleaning up litter, walking outside, feeding, etc.

Vaccination Clinics

Yes, we do offer Covid vaccination and flu vaccination clinics in our community every year!

Living Options

Yes, we can provide Independent Living up to Enriched/Assisted Living here on our campus. If their care levels increase to a need that we can no longer accommodate, they would not be able to stay in our community. When they start to move up in our levels of care that we provide, they do NOT have to move rooms…they can stay right where they are! We offer Independent and Assisted Living options here, in the form of studios, one bedrooms, and two bedrooms.
