Waitlist and Room Availability
We do currently have a waitlist for private rooms, but we have companion room availability.
Pricing and General Information
I will attach our current price sheet, our rates may go up in the near future as we have not had an increase since Feb 2023.
Staff and Training
We employ RN’s and LPN’s who are here 24/7, with the exception of a call off and then we may have a certified Med Tech over. We also have CNA’s here 24/7, as well. Every staff member attends mandated Dementia and Mental Health training, as Koelsch specific training called Living Well 101 which basically deep dives into dementia progression and the techniques for caring for folks with dementia. We also are required to have yearly Continuing Education Credits for RN, LPN and all CNA’s. Lastly, we do have an RN Director of Nursing services, our Executive Director has her Administrator degree and I personally have my Masters in Social Work.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We are a secured building with codes and alarms on doors and gates. The whole property is fenced in. We have motion sensors in all of the resident rooms, as well as, emergency pull cords throughout the community. Our caregivers are required to do hourly head counts and 2-ish hour bathroom rounds.
Transition Support Services
All of our residents get pretty hands on assistance getting up, to and from meals and activities their entire stay here. New residents get that same level of assistance at move in.
Transportation Services
We do have a bus and can provide transportation but there are additional fees incurred.
Dining Experience
We have two dining rooms, one for residents that are more independent with eating and the other for our residents who need more one on one assistances. Our Ivy (Independent) is served out restaurant style. We meal plan for everyone, with the menu posted a week at a time. We are able to accommodate some dietary restrictions, as well as specialty diet orders such as mechanical soft, puree and/or thickened liquids.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Residents are able to bring concerns or complaints to the front desk, their caregiver or the nurse.
Communication with Families
Families are welcome to call the community 24/7 to inquire about their loved one’s status. Our nurses do notify POA of specific reportable events such as falls, etc.
Short-term or Respite Stays
Yes, we offer respite. I will include those rates as well.
Pet-Friendly Community
We are pet friendly, many staff and family bring their pups to visit. All we require is current vaccine records for them.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
We unfortunately are not able to offer vaccines at the community anymore. We used to but the pharmacies we’ve partnered with in the past are no longer coming to communities for clinics.
Aging in Place
Yes, we provide care through end of life here. Often, we work side by side with hospice services within the community to assist during that time.
