Independent Living Membership and Rates

Memberships in Independent Living are a one-time non-refundable fee and start at $55,000, with an additional $10,000 for the second person. There are no health or financial requirements as we are independent living. Rental rates are wide-ranging and for Independent Living start at:

• $3850/month for a one-bedroom Oakcreek
• $5295/month for a 2 bedroom 2 bath Paria

The bungalows, which are 3 bedroom and 1650sqft, have a membership fee of $65,000 and rent for $7995.

Assisted Living Membership and Rates

The membership fee in Assisted Living is $7500 per person. Assisted Living is rent plus care, and you can figure on $5000 - $8000/month, with a second person adding $1200/month to cover the cost of the 3 meals a day.

Memory Care Membership and Rates

The membership fee is $7500 per person in Memory Care. Memory Care is rent plus care. The monthly rent for a private 1 bedroom is $5995, and $4195 for a semi-private room.

Welcome to Our Rental Community

We are a rental community with a membership requirement. Members must meet the minimum age of 62 to join the community in independent living. We also offer onsite assisted living and memory care in event any of our members living independently should need such support in the future.

What We Offer

Rental rates are inclusive of all maintenance, utilities, basic cable, housekeeping, transportation loops and outings, easy access to abundant classes for lifelong mind and body fitness as well as art and culture on and off site. We offer five restaurants featuring casual to fine dining, on site hiking paths, nearby biking trails and nature all around. Rather than requiring members to dine daily onsite as traditional retirement communities do, we have no meal plan on purpose; instead we provide each member a $575 credit to spend monthly as they wish on food, beverage (full liquor license), spa, or salon services available on site.

Waitlist Information

There is currently a waitlist for independent living, with 178 people awaiting placement. However, there are openings available in assisted living and memory care.

Respite Care and Short-Term Stays

Hacienda at the Canyon offers respite care with a minimum stay requirement of 21 days. The cost for respite care is based on a daily rate.

Pet Policy

Pets are welcome at the community without restrictions on type, breed, or size. The key requirement is that both pets and their owners are well-mannered.

Transportation Services

Residents can benefit from scheduled transportation services, which are included in the monthly cost. The community provides a bus for various outings, including doctor's appointments, shopping trips, and other scheduled activities.

Dining Experience

The community boasts five different restaurants, offering a wide variety of dining options. Meals are served from 7 AM to 8 PM and are prepared from scratch by a professional chef, ensuring delicious and diverse choices for every meal.

Staff and Medical Support

Hacienda at the Canyon employs 170 staff members, including nurses, to cater to the needs of residents. Additionally, the community has a medical clinic with doctors on staff to provide medical care and support.

Safety and Security

Residents' safety is a top priority, with options such as pendants, watches, and pull cords available for emergencies. The community is also protected by a 24-hour security guard service.

Resident Check-Ins

The frequency of nurse check-ins on residents varies based on individual care plans and the level of need, especially for those in memory care or assisted living.

Addressing Resident Concerns

Residents can voice their complaints or concerns through a drop box or by directly contacting a designated person. The community ensures that residents' voices are heard and addressed promptly.

Communication with Families

The community keeps families informed through newsletters and provides direct email access to the director for any queries or concerns.
