Overview of Staff Types and Training
Our core group of employees boasts well over 10 years of service to The Gilbert Residence. In our Nursing unit, we have Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). In our Assisted Living and Memory Care units, we employ Med-techs and Resident Aids. We offer in-services and onsite training, all taught by seasoned staff members.
Safety and Well-Being Measures for Residents
To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, we implement individualized care plans, conduct 2-hour rounds, and have cameras in common areas.
Resources and Support for Transitioning Residents
We aid residents in transitioning into the community by introducing them to one or two other residents to help them get to know us.
Transportation Services
We do not offer personal transportation services for residents. However, we have a bus available for group community outings.
Dining Experience
All meals are included, and we cater to specialized diets. Attached is a menu.
Complaint and Issue Resolution Process
We have an open-door policy. Complaints are generally addressed by the Med-Tech or Nurse, depending on the unit. If not resolved, the issue is escalated to the Manager of the unit. If still unresolved, the CEO can be contacted.
Policy on Communication with Families
We maintain regular, scheduled Care-Conferences and our Managers communicate with families as well. Families are added to our group email list, and we also have a newsletter to keep them updated.
Short-Term or Respite Stays
We do not offer Respite care.
Pet Policy
We allow pets to visit, but we do not allow residents to keep pets.
Waitlist Information
We have a 2-3 month waitlist for Memory Care and a year-long waitlist for our Nursing unit. Our Assisted Living unit has immediate openings.
Vaccination Availability
We offer yearly Flu vaccines to our residents.
Aging in Place
We offer a continuum of care, allowing residents to age in place. Hospice care is available in every unit.
