Overview of Our Staff and Training
We have a diverse team including personal care aids, medication techs, case management, maintenance, housekeepers, activities coordinators, and administration staff. All staff undergo a 30-day training period under the supervision of their department head, with the possibility of training at different locations. Additionally, every staff member receives monthly training sessions assigned by our corporate team.
Safety and Well-Being Measures
To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, we have personal care aids, medication techs, maintenance, housekeeping, and concierge services available 24/7, 365 days a year.
Support Services for New Residents
New residents meet with each department to ease their transition into the community. Case management conducts check-ins with all new residents to ensure their satisfaction and adjustment. We also offer on-site therapy services for those struggling with the transition.
Transportation Services
We provide scheduled outings for recreation, including shopping errands, visits to Troy Music Hall, walks at Cohoes Falls, and shows at Proctors. Medicaid covers transportation for all outside medical appointments, and we can arrange for an aid to accompany residents if needed.
Dining Experience
Our dining room serves three meals a day plus snacks and coffee throughout the day.
Handling Complaints and Issues
We have a grievance policy for residents to submit complaints or issues to the administration. The case management office is also available for residents to voice concerns directly.
Communication with Residents' Families
Our case management office maintains communication with both families and residents. While we encourage resident independence, phones are provided in all rooms for personal use. Family members are welcome to meet with case management during visits.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do not offer short-term or respite stays; our arrangements are month-to-month.
Pet Policy
We are not a pet-friendly community.
Vaccinations
Residents can receive Covid and flu vaccinations within the community.
Aging in Place
Our community does not have an enhanced license. If a resident requires more assistance than we can provide, our case management office will help find appropriate placement. This applies to residents who can no longer self-ambulate, stand, self-transfer, or need full assistance with dressing and showering.
Current Availability
We currently have availability for new residents.
