Overview of Our Professional Staff and Training
Our assisted living community is staffed with a range of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our residents. Our team includes a Health Services Director who is a Registered Nurse (RN), an Assisted Director who is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and a nurse available on call 24 hours a day. Our Resident attendants are either Certified Home Health Aides or Certified Nursing Assistants, and we have Certified Medication Aides responsible for distributing medications. We collaborate with an in-house doctor group, Seniority Healthcare, and have a list of other providers who visit our community. All staff members receive ongoing training through HealthStream, covering elder abuse, dementia, privacy practices, and more. Our team also includes a Lifestyles Director, Memory Care Coordinator, and an Executive Director who is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator.
Resident Safety and Well-Being
Each resident receives a personalized nursing assessment and care plan, updated every six months or upon significant changes. Our community caters to a range of independence levels, from very independent individuals to those in a secure memory care environment.
Transition Support Services
To aid residents' transition into our community, we assign a resident ambassador to each new resident and ensure department heads meet with them within the first two weeks. A psychologist from "Elderology" is available for counseling as needed.
Transportation Services
Our "Chelsea Van" provides transportation to doctor's appointments on Tuesdays and scheduled trips to local businesses. We do not offer on-demand bus service.
Dining Experience
We serve three meals a day in our dining room, restaurant-style, with three choices available at each meal. An "always available" menu offers additional options.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Our Resident Council meets monthly to address concerns, supplemented by direct access to our concierge and Executive Director for immediate issues.
Communication with Residents' Families
We maintain open communication with families, providing updates on their loved ones' well-being and changes in their care plan every six months, alongside a general messaging system for broad updates.
Short-term and Respite Stays
Subject to availability, we offer short-term stays at $250/day for Assisted Living and $315/day for Memory Care, with a minimum stay of 30 days.
Pet-Friendly Community
We welcome small dogs, cats, and even a bird, with the condition that the resident or a designated caregiver can meet the pet's needs.
Vaccination Services
Flu shots are available on-site, and Covid vaccinations depend on availability.
Aging in Place
With 5 levels of care in Assisted Living and 4 in Memory Care, plus the option for Hospice care, we support residents in aging in place according to their wishes and needs.
Included Services
Our daily rate includes three chef-prepared meals a day, snacks, social activities, housekeeping, and laundry service. The level of care needed is assessed prior to move-in, with rates adjusted accordingly.
