The Baptist Manor

The Baptist Manor is a 62 years and older community with market rentals and subsidized rent.

Market rental building:

All utilities included plus cable, Internet, and landline phone.

ALPHA

  • Studios: $800 to qualify for studio, monthly income must be at least $1600 -available now
  • 1 bedroom: $970 to qualify for 1-bd, monthly income must be at least $1940 Has waitlist of approximately 1 available now.
  • 2-bedroom: $1080 to qualify for 2-bd, monthly income must be at least $2160. Has waitlist of approximately 1-2 years

GAMMA 1st floor:

  • Studios: $835 to qualify for studio, monthly income must be at least $1670 -available now
  • 1-bedroom: $1000 to qualify for 1-bd, monthly income must be at least $2000- available now.
  • 2-bedroom: $1080 to qualify for 2-bd, monthly income must be at least $2160 -approximately 1-2 years
  • “D Hall” 160-166 only 1 bd $1050 open floor plan—($2100 to qualify) 6 months-1 year waitlist

GAMMA 2nd floor:

  • Studios: $785 to qualify for studio, monthly income must be at least $1570 -available now
  • 1-bedroom: $950 to qualify for 1-bd, monthly income must be at least $1900- available now.
  • 2-bedroom: $1030 to qualify for 2-bd, monthly income must be at least $2060 -approximately 1-2 years
  • “D Hall” 263-268 only 1 bd $1000 open floor plan—($2000 to qualify) 6 months-1 year waitlist

Epsilon and Drake buildings

are subsidized. Rent is no more than 30% of monthly income, includes all utilities (credit towards electric bill). Drake (Drake Rd between Grand River and Freedom Rd.) waitlist approximately 10-12 months. Epsilon building’s waitlist approximately 2 -2 ½ years.

Beta Homes:

Duplex (2 bd/2bath) with attached garage. $1800 month plus electricity. 5+ year waitlist.

Delta Homes:

Quadplexes (1 or 2 bd/1 bath) with assigned carport. $1200/$1400 respectively plus electricity. 1 bd has 2+ year waitlist while 2 bd has 6 mth-1 yr. waitlist.

[To qualify for any market rate buildings, an individual must have at least twice the rent. Example: if rent is $900, individual must show monthly income of $1800.]

Manor Enhanced Services:

  • Laundry $20 per load
  • Medication Reminders (staff not allowed to handle medication-only reminders) $15 per day up to 3 reminders. Each extra medication reminder

Independent Senior Living

We have multiple options for seniors, 62 years of age or older. Our accommodations include Duplexes, Quadplexes, and 2 apartment buildings with studios, 1-bedroom & 2-bedroom units. Additionally, we offer 2 subsidized buildings with 1 & 2 bedroom units.

Each building is managed by a property manager with a COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) through NCHM. A Service Coordinator is available in each building, with membership in the American Association of Service Coordinators and mandatory yearly training through HUD.

Maintenance & Manor Enhanced Service staff are present in each building, both receiving appropriate training as required. Manor Enhanced Services include housekeeping, laundry, transportation, medication reminders, and meals.

The Haworth Center - A Licensed Home for the Aged

The Haworth Center offers assisted living with companion and private rooms in a 59 bed facility located on the campus of The Baptist Manor. It is a locked-down facility for individuals 55 years and older. While we are a private pay facility, we do accept the Medicaid MI Choice Waiver Program and work with long-term care insurance companies and the VA.

Our staff includes a RN on staff M-F, a visiting physician weekly, and caregivers available 24/7. Staff receive yearly training as required by the state licensing board. Transportation is available at a cost, and for physician visits, the RN usually accompanies the resident if no family member is available. All meals are served in the dining room, accommodating all dietary requirements (regular, soft, blended).

Upon move-in, information on Weather Emergencies, Fire Emergencies, Evacuation Procedures, Complaint/Grievance procedures, and Resident Rights are provided to families and residents. We offer respite care stays with a minimum of 14 days at $250 per day with a $500 non-refundable set-up fee. Pets are not allowed.

Currently, there is no waitlist. We offer yearly Flu, COVID, and this year included RSV vaccinations to all interested. Residents may age in place, with the only reasons for required move being non-payment or combative issues. We welcome palliative/hospice companies at the request of the family.
