At Sunrise of Shelby Township, we take pride in our tenured staff, with several members being part of our community since its inception 17 years ago. Our resident coordinator team, care managers, medication managers, and nursing staff have been with Sunrise for many years, providing our residents with a sense of familiarity and bonding.

Medication and Medical Treatment

We have designated roles for medication management, care management, and nursing to avoid job task confusion. Our community has in-person nursing on first and second shifts, and our head nurse is on call 24 hours. We ensure all shifts are appropriately staffed for care and medication management based on our residents' needs.

Physical or Occupational Therapy Services

We partner with two companies, Residential and Powerpack, known for their high standards in Macomb County, to provide physical or occupational therapy services. One of these companies has a hub inside our community for easy access.

Communication with Family

Family members receive updates through biweekly executive director letters, monthly digital newsletters, and calls after monthly wellness visits. Our family engagement app, SMILE by Sunrise, allows for easy access to photos, videos, and community information.

Visitor Policy

Our concierge is available from 8:00am-8:00pm for visitor access. Outside these hours, Care Managers will assist visitors. While we have no visitor restrictions, we ask visitors to comply with our community's standard rules and procedures.
