Overview of Staff and Training

Our staff includes Executive Directors, Life Engagement, Director of Culinary, Program Director, Director of Nursing, and Sales and Marketing. They undergo monthly and annual training with the corporate office to ensure the highest standards of care and service.

Safety and Well-being Measures

To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, Memory Care doors are locked 24/7, and Assisted Living doors lock at 9pm and unlock at 7am. A Staff Director is available 24/7, and all staff are trained for emergency situations.

Transition Support Services

Our Health Services Team is trained to facilitate a smooth transition for incoming and outgoing residents, ensuring they feel supported throughout the process.

Dining Experience

We offer restaurant-style dining for all levels of care: Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care. Dining hours and menus are posted, with service and menus available upon request. We provide a main course and alternative options to cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs.

Addressing Complaints and Issues

Residents or their families can report problems or concerns to the concierge desk. The concierge will prioritize the issue and direct it to the appropriate department. If unresolved, the issue is escalated to the Executive Director.

Communication with Residents' Families

We keep families informed through the Life Loop portal, where pictures and activities are posted. Additionally, the Executive Director sends out updates via emails and text messages through One Call.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Pet-Friendly Community

Yes, we are a pet-friendly community. Residents in Assisted Living and Independent Living are allowed up to 2 pets.

We currently have a waiting list for those wishing to join our community.

Vaccination Services

We offer flu vaccinations on-site. However, we do not offer Covid vaccinations within the community.

Aging in Place

Our community does not offer aging in place. Residents requiring higher levels of care are referred to skilled nursing facilities.

Azalea Place Assisted Living Services & Amenities:

• Three meals a day – The residents will get 5 free meal deliveries which they can use however they would like. Whether that be all 5 in a row or spread out across a time frame. After the 5 free meals, each meal that they request delivered to their room will be at a charge of $7.00 per meal delivery.
• Licensed Nurse on staff
• Emergency response system
• Scheduled transportation
• Medication management
• Utilities included – Summer Village does provide basic cable and Wi-Fi, but if more channels are wanted and more variety for cable family/resident would need to contact Spectrum or any other company. There are no landline outlets in the Assisted Living units, but some residents do have a package through Spectrum for their cable, Wi-Fi, and phone to allow them a landline phone in their units.

Supportive Care:

• Additional assistance with transfers in and out of bed with ambulation to meals and activities

• Assistance with meals

Continence Management:

• Daily assistance with the monitoring and management of continence care
• Additional bathing and dressing as needed
• Daily laundering of clothing and linens as needed
