Specialized Services for Assisted Living

The level of care for each resident is determined by a point system assessment.

Prior to move in, each resident is evaluated by our Director of Wellness to determine their Level of Care.

Specialized Services for Memory Care

Overview of Staff and Training

We have an LPN who is our Director of Wellness. She oversees our Medical Technicians who administer our medications and our Resident Attendants who take care of assisting our residents with any Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s).

Safety and Well-Being Measures

Directors have a daily “stand-up” meeting each morning to discuss changes in condition, property needs, new residents, and daily activities.

Resources and Support Services

Each new resident is assigned a seat in our dining room with residents whom we feel they may share something in common. This is not permanent, and we can re-arrange to their liking. We also have a “New resident” meet and greet every other month to help introduce and acclimate new residents.

Transportation Services

We offer transportation to and from doctor appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Dining Experience

Our meals are served in a dining room. We have a featured meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and an alternative menu available. We distribute the menus on Fridays for the week ahead so that residents can plan accordingly.

Complaint Resolution Process

We have an open-door policy. Residents are always welcome to start with our concierge who can then distribute that concern to the appropriate director. However, we are a small community, and directors are almost always accessible.

Communication with Families

Being a small community, our nurse and directors are easy to access. Formally, we have a care-conference after the first 30 days of move-in and then quarterly thereafter, or if there has been a change in condition.

Short-Term or Respite Stays

We offer Respite when or if we have availability. It is $5,000 a month plus a level of care fee.

Pet-Friendly Community

Yes. One pet per resident. Dogs must be under 25lbs and the resident must be able to independently care for the pet.

Vaccinations

Yes. We offer Covid and flu vaccinations every fall.

Aging in Place

We aim for all residents to be able to age in place. The state of Georgia does impose some regulations that specify when a resident is no longer safely able to accomplish that, but it is the exception and not the norm.
