Overview of StoryPoint Senior Living Community
StoryPoint is a senior living community that is licensed to provide both assisted living and memory care services. The community is designed to accommodate residents at various stages of their lives, allowing them to age in place. StoryPoint offers a unique approach to care by conducting a points-based evaluation to determine the true care needs of each resident, leading to a custom care plan for every individual.
Levels of Care and Services
The community offers six different levels of care, catering to a wide range of needs from residents who are independent and require no care, to those in later stages who may need more comprehensive assistance. StoryPoint's care plans are not all-inclusive or a la carte but are tailored to the specific needs of each resident based on a detailed assessment.
Availability and Admissions
As of the conversation, StoryPoint does not have a waitlist for either assisted living or memory care, though they are nearing full capacity. There are a few openings available in both areas. The community also offers short-term stays or respite care, subject to availability, with a minimum stay requirement of 30 days.
Pet Policy
Pets are welcome at StoryPoint, with both cats and dogs allowed, making it a pet-friendly environment for residents who wish to bring their furry companions.
Payment and Insurance
StoryPoint operates on a private pay basis, meaning they do not accept Medicaid. This financial model supports the personalized care plans and services offered to each resident.
Staffing and Caregivers
The community is staffed with a range of healthcare professionals including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and traditional caregivers. This diverse team ensures a comprehensive level of care and support for residents.
Communication with Families
StoryPoint values open communication with the families of residents. They offer a portal for billing and updates, a monthly newsletter, and a calendar of events. Additionally, the community maintains active Facebook pages for more informal updates and shares. The executive director, wellness director, and life enrichment team also reach out directly to families via email to keep them informed and engaged with their loved ones' experiences and well-being.
