Overview of Professionals and Training

At Standish Village, we have a diverse team of 8 Directors. Julie, our Executive Director, oversees all operations, with support from myself and Jamie McWilliam during her maternity leave. I have over 6 years of experience, starting as an intern, and Jamie has been with us for over 10 years. Arielle, our Director of Community Relations, assists families with the assisted living process. Nina, our Director of Business Administration, manages billing and associate onboarding. Jessi, our Resident Care Director, leads the nursing department, which includes licensed CNAs available 24/7, with nurses during business hours or on call. Harrison, our Director of Dining, oversees the culinary team. Mike is responsible for Building and Grounds, and Brian, our EnrichedLIFE Director, leads programming. Lara manages our Compass Memory Support Neighborhood.

All associates undergo a comprehensive 3-day orientation covering communication, working with the elderly, and specialized dementia care training, among over 20 modules.

Safety and Well-being Measures

Each resident has an individual service plan for personalized care, with frequent check-ins. Staff are trained to monitor residents' participation in meals and activities, and our receptionist oversees front desk operations from 8 am to 8 pm, with secure doors after hours.

Transition Support Services

We offer peer introductions, and our Directors of Programming, Dining, and Nursing meet new residents within the first 24 hours to understand their preferences. We also collaborate with Supportive Care for mental health services.

Transportation Services

Our community provides weekly van trips and supports medical appointments, coordinated through our Program Director, Bryan.

Resident Complaints and Issues

Residents can address complaints directly to the relevant department Director, with a community guide available for reference.

Cost of Living

Costs vary based on apartment selection and care needs, with studios starting at $5,600/month. An assessment is required to determine the exact cost.

Communication with Families

We use text alerts to keep families informed about community events and reach out directly with updates on their loved ones.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We offer No Minimum Trial Stays, with daily costs ranging from $225 to $300, depending on the apartment and care level needed.

Pet-Friendly Community

We welcome pets, provided they are well-cared for by the resident and do not disturb the community.
