For resident safety, each apartment is equipped with grab bars, walk-in showers, and emergency pull cords. We also have a "Good Morning, I'm Okay" sign system and conduct regular fire drills.
Transition Support Services
Our admissions team and resident services coordinator provide orientation to help new residents smoothly transition into the community.
Dining Experience
The Manor offers both a casual bistro/pub and a formal dining room, with restaurant-style service. Residents have multiple menu options, including two entrées per meal and an everyday options menu.
Addressing Resident Complaints
Residents can speak with our resident services coordinator and executive director to address any concerns or issues.
Cost of Living
The cost varies based on apartment size and additional services such as meals, housekeeping, or parking. A rate sheet was provided in a previous email.
Communication with Families
As an independent living community, we may contact family members if our resident services coordinator identifies a concern that the resident cannot address themselves.
Short-term or Respite Stays
The Manor does not offer short-term or respite stays, but guest rooms are available for family members visiting residents.
Waitlist Information
We maintain a waiting list for specific units, while other units may be available immediately post-renovation.
Vaccination Availability
Flu vaccinations are provided each Fall. Covid vaccinations are no longer offered on-site, as residents have multiple options available to them.
Aging in Place
Our community does not support aging in place. When a resident requires assisted living, referrals to St. Paul’s Villa Assisted Living and Memory Care or other facilities are provided.
Welcome to St. Paul's Manor
St. Paul’s Manor is a community for seniors who are independent, and looking for a nice, safe community which provides meals, housekeeping and a friendly environment. We are located in the Bankers Hill area of San Diego, just a few blocks from Balboa Park. We have been here since 1962, and have an excellent reputation for serving seniors. Our rents are month-to-month, and include one meal per day, all utilities (except cable/internet service), housekeeping and linen service, activities and transportation. I have attached our Activity calendar, Rate sheet, Features Flyer with all of our upgrades listed, and our existing floor plans for your review (all newly renovated apartments will have kitchenettes and walk-in showers).
Accommodations
We offer several styles of studio and one-bedroom apartments. However, I want to let you know we began a major renovation this Spring, and for this reason we do not have any apartments available at this time. The entire project is currently scheduled to be completed by the Spring of 2024. You are also welcome to view our website, which has a lot of pictures and program descriptions for all of our independent, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing communities: www.stpaulseniors.org
