Springdale Village is a continuum of care retirement community sprawling across a 12-acre property. It offers a comprehensive range of living options including independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care to cater to the diverse needs of its residents.

Staffing and Care Services

The independent living section provides an activities department, leasing office, and transportation services for scheduled outings such as banking, shopping, and doctor's appointments within a seven-mile radius. The assisted living facility is managed by a certified AL manager in the state of Arizona and provides medication dispensation, personal care services, and certified caregivers. The community does not offer memory care or dementia services.

Accommodations

Springdale Village has 84 beds in its assisted living facility, with one and two-bedroom apartments available. Currently, one building is undergoing upgrades, consolidating residents into one large building with a few vacant apartments remaining.

Insurance and Costs

Most residents in the assisted living section are covered under Arizona State Long-Term Care Insurance or state Medicaid. The share of costs for residents is determined by their case managers from the insurance company.

Safety and Accessibility

The main entrance is locked at night, but residents have the freedom to come and go as they please. Some residents are very independent and may even have their own vehicles. The facility is equipped with a call light system in bathrooms and common areas, as well as push pendants for residents to alert med techs in case of urgent needs. Standard fire alarms and safety measures are also in place.

Transportation Services

Springdale Village provides transportation for doctor's appointments and other outings. Insurance companies also offer transportation services for their members.

Dining Experience

Residents in assisted living can enjoy dining services with the option to order from the menu or order out. There is a dining lounge within the building, and three meals a day are provided. Residents also have access to kitchen facilities in their apartments for personal use.

Resident Grievance Process

Residents have the right to file grievances, which are addressed by the AL manager or staff within 72 hours. The community is proactive in involving state resources such as the ombudsman's office and Adult Protective Services when necessary.

Payment Options

While the community accepts insurance, it also accommodates private pay residents. Respite and short-term stays are available in the nursing home section but not in assisted living.

Family Communication

Springdale Village encourages family involvement and communicates with residents' families about changing conditions, respecting the residents' privacy and decision-making rights.

Pet Policy

Pets are allowed within the community, with the condition that residents have a backup plan for pet care in case of emergencies. The community accepts various types of pets, excluding snakes.
