Do you guys currently have a waitlist?

Yes, we do for Long Term Care.

Could you share pricing and any other general information?

I would be happy to mail you a packet of information that includes our pricing. Please email me with your mailing address. Skilled Nursing Care in Lincoln will typically run approx. $11,000-$13,000/ month. It is dependent on the level of care and size of the room.

Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

We employ Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medication Aides, Nursing Assistants, a Recreation Therapist, a Dietician, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Social Workers, Culinary, Maintenance, and Environmental Services team members. Education is dependent on the position. All team members go through a general orientation, job-specific orientation, Buddies Forever (dementia) training, and ongoing continuing education both facility-wide and job-specific.

Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?

Our doors are secure from 5 pm to 8 am when we do not have a receptionist at the front desk. Our staff is present in the building 24/7 to assist our residents. Is there something specific you are wanting to know about?

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?

Each resident is assigned a Social Worker. Life Enrichment is also very involved in helping the resident transition. If a resident is having a specific concern, we can look at having a counselor see them.

Do you offer transportation services for residents?

Yes, to medical appointments. The cost is $40 round trip in Lincoln.

Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?

Our residents are served restaurant-style i.e., they receive the daily menu and are able to make choices from the daily menu or always available menu.

What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

Yes, we have a grievance procedure that the resident's Social Worker takes the lead on.

What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?

We communicate with a resident's POA if it is invoked as needed. If the resident makes their own decisions, that communication would mostly go through them. We do have a communication system that we can send phone calls, texts, email through to notify families of COVID cases in the building, events, and newsletters. Residents also have quarterly care plan meetings to discuss the resident's care with the interdisciplinary team.

Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?

On occasion, however, because we have a waiting list for Long Term Care, we do not typically have availability for this. The cost would be the same as Long Term Care.

Are you all a pet-friendly community?

Pets can visit, but not live here.

Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?

Yes.

Are residents able to age in place?

Yes, however, there are a few instances where we may not be able to care for someone. One would be if a person is on a ventilator. Another would be someone who has dementia and wanders/exit seeks. We are not a secure memory support facility.
