Current price point for each room is $245.07 per day, which amounts to a little over $7,300 per month for out-of-pocket expenses.

Respite care services and short-term stays are priced separately and depend on various factors.

Types of Living Offered

Smyrna Care Center is a skilled nursing facility that provides short-term skilled rehab following hospital stays and long-term care. Additionally, the facility features a memory care unit with a 22-bed all-female section for residents with memory care needs.

The center offers respite care services for short-term stays to provide temporary relief for primary caregivers.

Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed to stay at the facility, but family members can bring pets for visits with proper vaccination records on file.

Transportation Services

Transportation is arranged for residents' appointments, although the facility does not have its own van. Outings are rare due to the complexity of arranging transportation for multiple residents. Transportation costs are typically billed to the resident's insurance.

Move-In Assistance

While there are no dedicated moving staff or movers, the facility staff will assist new residents with organizing and storing their personal items and clothing.

Dining Services

Residents have the option to dine in their rooms or in the communal dining room. Specific dining times are set, but snacks and sandwiches are available between meals. The menu is restaurant-style with a main menu and alternate items available upon request.

Staffing

The facility is staffed 24/7 with RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. There is also a nursing leadership team, MDS nurses, a social worker, admissions marketing personnel, care coordinator, ancillary support staff, a psych nurse practitioner, a psychologist, and a medical director with nurse practitioners visiting multiple times a week. External partnerships provide dental, audiological, podiatry, and vision services at varying intervals.

Accessibility and Safety Features

Exterior doors are secured with an egress system, and the memory care unit has additional security measures. A designated smoking area is also secured. Residents have access to call buttons in their rooms and bathrooms for immediate assistance.

Nurse Check-Ins

Nurses typically check on residents every two hours or more frequently depending on individual needs.

Family Communication

Communication with residents' families is conducted face-to-face, through surveys, a texting service for mass updates (e.g., COVID outbreak notifications), and traditional mail.

Resident Complaints

A detailed grievance policy is in place for residents to voice concerns, which any staff member can initiate, followed through by the social worker and administrator.
