Types of Care Offered

The senior living community offers a range of care options to accommodate the varying needs of residents:

• Skilled Nursing: This is for residents who require extensive assistance with daily activities, including help with standing, walking, bathing, and medication management.
• Personal Care: This level is for residents who are more independent but still require assistance with daily activities.
• Assisted Living: Similar to personal care, residents receive help with activities such as bathing, dressing, and medication administration.

Pet Policy

Dogs are welcome to visit the community, and visiting hours are open 24/7. However, pets are not allowed to live with the residents.

Moving Assistance

While the community does not have a dedicated moving company, the maintenance team is available to help bring items into a resident's room and set them up once they are on-site.

Transportation

There is no in-house transportation service; however, a third-party service is available for appointments, with costs varying based on distance and duration.

Dining Experience

Meals are served at set times throughout the day, with alternatives always available for residents who may not prefer the day's menu. Snacks are provided, and residents can keep personal food items in their rooms.

Staffing and Medical Care

Chefs prepare meals, and the community has a favorable staff-to-resident ratio. Medical care is provided by visiting doctors, including specialists like podiatrists and eye doctors. Blood work and imaging services are also available on-site. Nursing staff includes RNs, LPNs, and aides, with the exact number varying by shift and care level.

Vaccinations

The community offers flu shots and COVID-19 vaccines to residents, with administration occurring annually.

Safety Measures

Doors are alarmed but not locked, and residents have call bells in their rooms. Additional safety measures like wander guards are used for residents who may require closer monitoring.

Addressing Complaints

A grievance box is available for residents to submit complaints, and they can also speak directly to staff members such as the social worker or director of nursing.

Communication with Families

The community keeps in touch with residents' families through regular email newsletters and direct calls from nurses to update on any significant events or changes in the resident's status.
