Additional Daily Care Charges

Charges are based on the complexity of care and services required by each individual resident. Each resident is assessed upon admission and at least quarterly thereafter to determine his/her personalized service needs and accompanying charges. The daily care charges are added to the base room rate to establish the total daily rate.

If the Facility needs to rent specific equipment for care and/or treatment of the resident, the charge will be based on the Facility's cost to rent or purchase the equipment.

Medication Management

The Contract Pharmacy will send a separate bill for drugs and medicines prescribed by a physician. In some instances, your insurance may pay for part of the bill. The Contract Pharmacy participates in many co-payment insurance companies.

The Facility has a separate pharmacy administration fee of $5.00 per day. This fee includes the cost of oral medication administration, monitoring, recording and storage. This fee also includes a monthly review of the resident's entire drug regimen by a Professional Pharmacist. In addition, if ordered by the Physician, the Facility will provide several over-the-counter medications free of charge. The daily administration fee will be added to your daily room rate that appears on your monthly billing statement. [This fee is also noted as the Daily Medication Management Charge on Attachment B].

  • Admission Processing Fee - Initial Admission $150.00
  • Readmission Processing Fee $75.00
  • Payor Source Change Processing Fee $100.00
  • Bed Hold - If the resident and/or representative chooses to hold the resident's bed in the event of a temporary absence from the facility, the bed hold fee is equal to the resident's current total daily room rate.
  • Bed Hold cost for a Medicare / Insurance covered resident is equal to the published occupied room rate.
  • Guest Meals (each) $8.00

In addition, the Facility offers many convenient contracted services including in-house rehabilitation therapy; barber and beauty salon services; podiatry, dental and optometry care; laboratory and diagnostic x-ray testing; and regular visiting personal physicians. Medicare Part-B reimburses many of these services. The Facility shall submit the necessary billing information to those providers in an effort to reduce your medical care costs. However, the rates and charges for the above services are available from the specific provider. We can assist you in obtaining their phone number.

Important Information Regarding Medicare Coverage

Medicare does not automatically cover nursing home care. In order to receive Medicare benefits in a skilled nursing facility, you must meet the technical requirements AND you must meet the skilled criteria as defined by Medicare. The maximum number of days that you may receive Medicare coverage is 100 days. However, there is NO guarantee that you will receive the full 100 days.

During an eligible traditional Medicare admission, Medicare pays 100% of the bill for the first twenty (20) days only. On day 21, there is a daily co-insurance rate that applies. For those residents who have supplemental Medicare insurance, it is your responsibility to know your benefits as it relates to Medicare co-insurance.

For those residents where there is no supplemental MC insurance, the resident will be responsible for private payment of the daily co-insurance rate. The co-insurance rate changes yearly. Please check with the Admission Department to find out the current fee.

Overview of Professional Staff and Training

We have RN’s, LPN’s, Certified Nursing Assistant’s, Director of Nursing, Infection Control Nurse, Inservice Education Nurse, Wound Care Nurse, Respiratory Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, and Nurse Managers. Our In-service Education Nurse keeps the clinical team up to date with any new trainings needed.

Safety and Well-being Measures

We have a wander guard system for the residents that wander, an overhead paging system for the clinical team to remind them to check in on their residents, and a Concierge Service that follows up on any issues residents may have during their stay.

Transition Support Services

We have a Social Service Department that handles all aspects of residents' transition into the community.

Transportation Services

Yes, we have a contract with a transportation service that takes residents to and from their scheduled appointments.

Dining Experience

Residents interested in dining in our Atrium can enjoy fine dining with glass place ware. Alternatively, they can dine in their rooms or in the dining rooms on their floor.

Resident Complaints and Issues

The Concierge Services or the recipient of the complaint directs it to the appropriate person, and it gets resolved as soon as possible.

Communication with Residents' Families

We communicate with individuals listed on the emergency contact list or those designated in the paperwork, unless other instructions are given. If the resident is able to speak for themselves, we communicate with them directly.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We offer short-term or respite stays if we have a bed available, at a cost of $340 per day.

Pet-Friendly Community

Yes, pets are welcome provided they have the most up-to-date vaccine records available for visits.

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Yes, we offer Covid and flu vaccinations here in the community.

Aging in Place

Residents can live here long-term based on approval by clinical, financial, and bed availability. We currently have a waiting list for Long-Term Care Residents but have beds available for Short-Term Rehabilitation.
