Overview of Staff Professionals and Training

All of our associates receive monthly training on various aspects of senior living, general safety, and resident care. Additionally, our associates undergo hands-on training before being on the floor alone. The 3rd party home health company also has an extensive training program.

Measures for Resident Safety and Well-Being

Each resident has a personal pendant, a pull cord in the bathroom, access to staff in the building 24/7, and locked doors from the outside at 8 pm.

Resources and Support Services for Transition

We have an ambassador program, which is a welcoming committee for all new residents to aid their transition into the community.

Transportation Services

We offer transportation within a 10-mile radius of the community for shopping, appointments, and other needs.

Dining Experience

We provide 3 full meals with restaurant-style dining. Our food is delicious with many options, including a full page of always available options and daily specials. We recently hosted a Mother's Day brunch, which received rave reviews!

Process for Handling Resident Complaints

If a resident has a complaint or an issue, we suggest they meet with the executive director who will address it with the pertinent department or individual.

Communication with Residents' Families

We maintain communication with residents' families through regular email updates to keep them informed about their loved ones' well-being.

Short-Term or Respite Stays

We offer a minimum 30-day respite stay at the monthly cost of a one-bedroom apartment, plus any additional care if needed.

Pet-Friendly Policy

We are a pet-friendly community! There is a monthly fee of $25 for a pet, and pets must be up to date on vaccines.

Current Waitlist Status

Onsite Vaccination Clinics

We offer onsite vaccination clinics for both Covid-19 and flu vaccinations.

Aging in Place

Yes, residents are able to age in place. The 3rd party home health company staff will come to them as needed.

About Us

We are a vibrant senior living community located in the Golden Corridor of Sterling Heights. We offer all-inclusive independent living. Restaurant style dining, weekly housekeeping with linen services, transportation in a 10-mile radius for appointments and much more!

Independent Living

Our residents have the freedom to be as independent as possible, but have the option to receive enhanced services from AdvisaCare who are onsite 24/7. We have a variety of life enriching activities provided 7 days a week, as well as offsite group outings. I have attached a monthly calendar, so you can see all the fun!

Accommodations

Shorehaven has 120 apartments, with one- and two-bedroom floorplans, each unit offers a small kitchen and their very own private outdoor space. We offer visits of the community 7 days a week, I look forward to connecting with you to schedule your personal visit.
