Waitlist and Availability

We have a waitlist for residents who are on Medicaid waiver. Otherwise, we are at about 80% census right now, so while we have availability, it depends on the room size and location.

Pricing and General Information

Our pricing starts at a base rate of $4,950.00 for our standard studio. The final price is determined with a level of care assessment that is specific to each resident and their care needs, with each level of care increasing in $300.00 increments. For more detailed information, please refer to our brochure, especially the page titled "Determining Rates and Fees".

Staff and Training

Our care team, while not required to be licensed, is trained in-house on all care positions. Some team members hold CNA, MA, LPN, or RN licenses. They undergo classes and on-the-floor training before beginning their positions. Our team is managed 24/7 by a shift supervisor and overseen by a clinical coordinator and a director of nursing who is on call 24 hours a day. Our staff also includes housekeepers, laundry assistants, culinary aides, cooks, and a leadership team of 9 members heading up different departments.

Safety and Well-being Measures

We have numerous safety measures in place, including training processes, resident-specific care plans, monitored call systems, and consistent management from our corporate office. For more specific safety concerns, we are open to addressing them directly.

Transition Support Services

While we do not have a specific social worker on staff, our entire team supports residents in their transition, with our Life Enrichment team helping them integrate socially.

Transportation Services

We do not offer transportation services for our residents at Sheldon.

Dining Experience

Our culinary team, led by a head chef, plans monthly menus and focuses on cooking from scratch. Breakfast is served from 7 am to 9:30 am, with lunch and supper served at set times, including a daily special and always available alternatives.

Addressing Complaints and Issues

Our complaint policy is posted within our community, directing residents to the appropriate contact for their concerns, whether it be the med techs, shift supervisor, or a specific department head. We also hold monthly resident council meetings for feedback.

Communication with Residents' Families

Communication preferences with families are established during admission and are tailored to each resident's care plan. We update families on significant changes and conduct assessments every 90 days.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We offer respite stays with a minimum of a two-week stay, costing between $250 – $475 a day, depending on the level of care.

Pet-Friendly Community

We are a pet-friendly community for cats and dogs, with certain requirements and considerations for care included in the level of care/cost.

Vaccinations

We offer a COVID and flu shot clinic at least once a year for residents.

Aging in Place

Most residents age in place in our community, with rare exceptions requiring alternative placement due to extensive care needs.
