Waiting List and Admissions

There is currently a waiting list for those wishing to join the community. The facility does not generally offer short-term stays, focusing instead on providing long-term care and support for its residents.

Pet Policy

While residents are not allowed to have pets live with them in the facility, pets are welcome to visit, ensuring that residents can still enjoy the companionship of their furry friends.

Transportation

The community does not have its own transportation services but utilizes a county taxi service to facilitate residents' travel needs for appointments and outings.

Dining Experience

The dining experience is communal, with a restaurant-style service in a shared dining room. Dietary needs, such as gluten intolerance, are accommodated to the best of the facility's ability, ensuring that all residents can enjoy nutritious and suitable meals.

Staffing and Medical Care

Each building within the community has a nurse manager overseeing the care of residents. Additionally, the facility contracts with a hospice provider, ensuring that specialized medical care is available when needed.

Safety and Security

The community is a locked facility, providing security 24/7. Residents are equipped with call pendants for emergencies, and entry is managed through a doorbell system. Staff members are responsible for allowing visitors to enter.

Resident Concerns and Complaints

If residents have any complaints or concerns, they are encouraged to notify their nurse manager. Issues are then escalated to the administrator for resolution, ensuring that residents' voices are heard and addressed promptly.

Communication with Families

The facility maintains open lines of communication with residents' families through phone calls and emails. This ensures that families are kept informed about their loved ones' well-being and any important updates regarding the community.

The conversation included interaction with Kimber, a nurse manager at the facility. Kimber is part of the dedicated team that ensures the daily operations of the community run smoothly and that residents receive the care and attention they need.
