Overview of Our Professional Staff and Training

Our team includes certified Medication Aides trained by an RN and who have passed a state exam, with ongoing CEUs to maintain their certification. Our care aides consist of CNAs and PCAs, with PCAs receiving 80 hours of on-the-job training and then being registered with the state. Oversight is provided by our Wellness Director, an LPN, and our Executive Director, who is licensed through the state with a background in social work. Both directors maintain CEUs to keep their licenses.

Safety and Well-Being Measures

Our facility is a secured unit with magnetically locked doors. We assess the safety and well-being of our residents continuously, considering various factors such as abuse, interactions between residents, fall risks, and medication administration.

Transition Resources and Support Services

We offer on-site therapy through Legacy Rehab and prefer to get an MD order for PT/OT/ST evaluations and treatments upon admission. We also have contacts with Geriatric Care Managers, moving companies for seniors, and more.

Transportation Services

Our wheelchair-accessible van is available for medical appointments and activities, with families asked to meet at the MD office due to logistical reasons.

Dining Experience

Our Dining Services Manager, Rob, ensures high-quality meals are provided three times a day, adhering to any specific dietary requirements set by a resident's MD.

Addressing Complaints and Issues

Residents or their families can address concerns with the lead med tech or any manager. Unresolved issues can be escalated to our corporate office, state licensing authority, or the county Ombudsman.

Communication with Residents' Families

We maintain an open-door policy for communication, providing updates on any significant events or changes in a resident's condition. Our Wellness Director and Executive Director also share their direct contact numbers for any immediate concerns.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We offer short-term or respite stays based on availability, with rates at $350.00 per day and a minimum of 14 days.

Pet-Friendly Community

While we do not provide pet care, residents can care for their pets with approval from the Executive Director. Pets can visit as long as they are controlled and have up-to-date shot records.

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Yes, residents can receive Covid and flu vaccinations within our community.

Aging in Place

In most cases, residents can age in place, especially if they have a DNR, Advanced Directive, or living will that allows for Palliative care or Hospice. However, certain medical interventions beyond our scope may require alternative arrangements.
